This is so timely.. I thought of a vending machine pun the other day... but I've already forgotten it. Dang.

I think the oddest thing I've bought from one was flip flops and I don't know that that was exactly odd. I think they're probably common in the area I was in, I just had never seen it before. My shoes had gotten filled with sand so I decided, $2 flip flops would probably be more comfortable for the rest of the day. How wrong I was...

It was similar but not an old navy one. I do remember flip flops on the sides just like in that picture though.

I once saw a vending machine that sold hot pizza...and another that sold 'fresh' french fries.

Oh! I've got something from the art -o - mat. I guess that does count as a vending machine, doesn't it.

I've seen lots of pizza ones on college campus but it was never hot. I think I know four campuses that have vending machines for those, sandwiches, burritos, and dip n' dots. But none of them give you heated or prepared foodstuffs. that's crazy. Also never heard of a french fry one either. That one sounds dangerous because I'd probably use it a lot..

... we have ice cream vending machines? Nothing really crazy or outrageous, but then we don't have many vending machines either.

The only vending machines we have around here are for soft drinks and the occasional snack machine. The only thing that comes from mind that I've seen, that is different I guess, is a Proactiv machine in a mall. I'd love to use some of the more interesting ones I've seen on the internet. Apparently they are all far away from me though.

The old used book store used to have a book vending machine. For 2 dollars you would get a random book. Never tried it though. Sadly the store is gone. :(
