Hello, this is one of those get-to-know-this-person threads, yes. :P
Here you can hang out, chat with me, and ask me stuff. Nothing is too personal or stupid. Or we can just talk about anything, discuss topics that are interesting - everything goes, as long as it's in the site rules. ^_^
And yes, this be mah real face! ^3^

I see by your profile that you were born in 1989. This is the year I was released from high school. Thank you for reminding me how old I am.

So, let's try a question then. Oh, and helloz. You can call me Blue. Most peeps online do.
Anyway, the question(s): Do you do any gaming on your free time, and if so, what genre of games do you like most?

@Lady Diana Queen, every day! :D
He did? That's not good. :O It's a shame that some of these entertainers works more than they can handle.
@the Chesire Pisces Hello! How are you? ^^
@WindySummer Thank you! It's just flowers on a rubber band, but it works. x3 I have made my own, that I am selling.
@Blue Hi there. :) I do! I love RPGs the most, simulation can be fun as well. Currently very much into Dragon Age, that series is awesome.

RPGs, eh? That's been a common genre with most people I meet, especially the ladies. Makes me wonder if I should search more RPG communities, or perhaps if I should buckle down and learn how to do the tabletop sort. :o
In any case, I never got to try Dragon Age, and I've only heard mixed talk about it. The sort of good start but diminished quality in sequels sort of talk. Was this your experience?
As for myself, my list is pretty big, and fluctuates a bit given new releases or rediscovering old loves. Though I am a regular on Steam and GoG.com nowatimes, in terms of shopping for games.

Haha, well, RPGs are fun. :) And I am not a lady, per say, even if my avatar is. I am genderqueer.
I started out with the second game, loved it. Then I played the first one, and it was nice, just a bit disappointing that your character didn't have any talking scenes. Glad they fixed that in the second game. :3 Third game is Inquisition, and, wow... OPEN WORLD CONTENT! Tons of side quests!
I used to do tabletop ones when I lived in a collective, but, meh, it eventually died out in the sand.

Huh? My apologies and my mistake. Though, I can hope I find the help I need to complete my quest, eh?
Hmmm... while I do enjoy the good RPG from time to time (and had to learn the difference between how you play a JPRG and a CRPG... by getting curbstomped horribly in the latter), I do enjoy a wide variety of games: RPGs, 4Xs, Board Games, Strategy Games, Roguelikes, Puzzle Games, Village Sims, Beat 'Em Ups, Platformers, and probably a few other genres that I might remember as I play them. Point is, it's alot of stuff.

Chesire: It's someone who identifies as male, female or what they feel like, whenever they feel like it. No, not a hermaphrodite or something like that. Gender is a large spectrum, and many people are nonbinary, aka not identifying as male or female. Hope that helps a bit.
Blue: Up there. ^ I prefer they/them pronouns. :) In Sweden, we have the hen word. It's a mix of han (him) and hon (she).
Games are great in that aspect. I love Tower Defense games, and fighting ones as well. :)
Diana: I meant the band. :)

Hopefully, I can share some games I like with you, and catch your interest in those games. You know, spread the word of those games. I'm glad that I've managed to do this with a couple of peeps locally here, but I could use more peeps to do this with. I mean, sometimes the best games are the ones you would've never thought to try until you see in action, right? Mostly because they're that far under the radar, and that different from the commonplace stuff you'd see.

For an example of a game you've probably never played, but is really, really interesting to play and can be really addicting, look up a game called Coin Crypt. It's pretty easy to pick up, but to win... you might have to go through a few runs to learn the strategies you'll need.

Okay, let's get to replying! :D -rubs hands-
Chesire: No problem at all. :) I know most people are used to male and female, and I don't correct older ones, like my contact at the unemployment office and so on. However, on cons, it's getting more common to be asked "What's your pronouns?" and that's SO NICE!
Blue: Please feel free to share, I am always interested in more things. :) I love this cute game I have on my tablet. It's called Battle X Girls. <3 And I will surely check out the link! I don't use my Steam anymore, I am more of an Origin person. :3

Origin? Ew... EA. Though, if you were around during the days of Ultima and Wing Commander.... well... there was a time when Origin meant something good. I do also shop on GoG.com myself, as the games I get from there are DRM-Free. Eat it EA, Activision, Ubisoft, and other Triple A publishers who infect games with DRM!!! DRM is evil! Evil even this evil overlord wouldn't wish on his worst enemy! Oh, sorry, rant there.
So, Battle X Girls, huh? I lack a tablet, so I can't say I'll get to try it too soon, but it might be worth a look. :)
Oh, and speaking of GoG.com, last couple of days for their Summer Sale as of this message posting. I should see what bundles are still around. :o

Blue: Hahah, that's your opinion. :P I love EA and BioWare, they have great games. Dragon Age is my one time fav. The Sims can be fun as well. I might get the 4th one, since they made it so all sims can wear all clothes. :D Nonbinary ftw!
You can get it for your smartphone as well, I think. :)
Poet: Hi, and welcome! :D They are, I agree fully.

Maybe EA does have good products on the overall, but it's their practices that lead to incredibly restrictive DRM that I dislike. Then again, this is also true of Activison and Ubisoft. And I think we can agree that UPlay is a terrible client service.
On the plus side, I think you might like GoG.com if it came down to it, since well... it doesn't affect your Origin account. Oh, speaking of EA stuffs: since Bullfrog's products are under EA's wing these days...
(Also, you can play a REAL Dungeon Keeper game, as opposed to that crappy mobile game)

DRM is known as Digital Rights Management by the Gaming Industry, and known as Digital Restrictions Management by everyone else. Any limited amount of installs you have, any mandatory being online to even use your software, anything that breaks your game for not having a certain ID or passing a certain check (in the old days, you needed the manual for these), these are DRM. They arrange it so something is unusable through it if certain parameters aren't met. This is a good place for info on that.
As for UPlay, this is UbiSoft's version of Origin, so to speak. Except without being a mockery to a formerly great company by using said company's name as the client.
