  • Ah, yes, Patrick Wolf. If you don't know who I'm talking about, here is his official site, his myspace and the wiki article (for more general info).

His sound is so unique and he has such an artistic mind and vision. He mixes everything from classical to techno and it comes out great!
I've been a squealing fan since I was going through the (very limited) record collection at a music store and I found his among the records. Went home, checket out a few songs by him (along with the other artists I'd found and didn't know) and rushed back to buy the record. Wind in the wires. Listened to it a lot until my record player broke down and then came a while before I remembered him again, got his full collection (and got my record player fixed) and now I can't stop listening. :D

His most recent album, The magic position is so much different from his former work, but even though it's very pop and fruity and catchy (as opposed to his more depressing, artistic and experimental style before), he does it really well. I think I listened to the title song at least ten times in one day just after I got the album, it's so addictive.

Enough about my experience of him, I'm sure there are other Patrick fans out there! Tell me about your experience of him and what you think!

Patrick Wolf is beautiful! ♥ Some of my friends saw him live recently. They are very lucky~. > 3<

Wind in the Wires is one of my favorites. The video makes me want to cry.

When I turn 18 next year (or sooner if I can convince my parents that it is a good idea) I want to get a Patrick-relted tattoo on my foot. I want one foot to say "Let no foot mark your ground," and the other have "Let no hand hold you down." I was also briefly considering getting the unicorn like he has on his chest. XD But I would much rather have the words. c:

I love Patrick Wolf with a deep, burning passion. He's an amazing artist, and he's pretty.

He's so angelic and elf-like. I love that about him.

  • candy holic!, yeah, Wind in the wires is great, the video is beautiful.
Haha that about the tattoos is pretty mad. But I like the words.

Kitten, I agree. Sometimes I think he's just out of this world, he's so talented and artistic, and beautiful in every way. And not just physically beautiful, I thought he was beautiful before even seeing his picture, just from hearing his music.

Haha! The unicorn! That's one of the only things that makes me think he's gay. I hope he is, maybe I'll have a chance with him. Haha!

I love him a lot, but I was disappointed with his most recent album. I felt that it lacked the depth the the previous two had. I've heard that others have felt the same.

Ooh, Patrick Wolf :3
I haven't listened to him in forEVER, but I quite love his music. "The Libertine" is a song I can never get tired of.

And now I'm rushing off to download his music because my collection got lost when my old laptop died, and this topic reminded me of what I'm missing~

  • Tch, I think the unicorn is cute. I think he's bi, but really, I don't care that much. I think he's beautiful and that's all that matters. ^___^
I really like the Magic position, even though it may not seem as dramatic and emotional as the others, it's still great and his lyrics are just as wonderful as before. (Let's go) get lost, Magpie, Enchanted and Accidents and emergency are some of my favourites from that record, and (Let's go) get lost is in fact one of my favourite songs by him in general. You may have to think about it a bit more to see it, but it does have a lot of depth, I think.

8bit, yeah, The Libertine was one of the first songs I heard by him and it's still my favourite. :D

Eileanora, the first time I heard the Magic position, I had to listen to it non-stop for three days, it's so addictive, haha! And I didn't have the album back then so I had to go to youtube five times a day while I waited for the album. :Ð

  • Mmm, Patrick Wolf. <3
My favourite song of his is "Can't Say No."
I love his style, too. He can pull of any look.
