I have a younger sister of 9 years that can be as annoying as hell. When I tell her to get off the computer and do her homework, she goes stomping around and roll her eyes at me. You know how much at that point I want to slap her across the face and tell her to grow up? She spends like over two good hours on the internet each day now, likely more because it is summer. I don't know what she does because I have summer school. My mom makes her do like math and English each day so she doesn't get behind. When I come home from school she's playing online with Neopets and miniclip. I asked her if she already did her work and she said she did. When I check (and most of the time I don't), she usually don't have it done. And when I tell her to, she gives me this whole attitude.
She should consider herself lucky because when I didn't do my homework or do it well when I was younger, my mom would take out a wooden stick that is made especially for hitting misbehaved children and hit me. All she's getting now is kneeling against the wall for half an hour.
It blows me up big time and I swear if hitting was legal, I would've done so already. Trust me, she acts worse than she sounds.
Discuss and whatnot.

If you have a habit of swinging your feet, sit across from her at the table and give it to her. >o> *is a horrible person*
This is EXACTLY why I tell my parents that I don't want a younger sibling. XD

When I tell my sister to clean the living room after she trashed it, she gets really mad at me and goes really slowly... taking one toy at a time to her room. I'll tell her to make sure she gets her blankets, too and she'll flip out at me. "DON'T RUSH ME SISSY! DON'T MAKE ME GO TOO FAST!" and sometimes, she'll get so upset, she'll hit me. ;-;

Uhh... what is wrong with spending time on the internet over the summer?
It's not like there's much else to do.
Personally, I find siblings who think they can act like parents far more annoying. Leave the parenting to the parents.

Kneeling against the wall? A wooden stick? o.O
My parents never used physical punishments.

I've never had those problems with my younger sister. And that's because I rule her with an iron fist. I set down the law, make sure she knows who's boss and make the consequences perfectly clear. Step out of line and she's spends another night alone in the basement. And not the main section of the basement either. Further in the back where the old boilers sits. Where the floor is dirt and pipes weave overhead. Yes, just one misstep. Just one is all it takes. And soon enough she knows not to incur my wrath.
... :B No, my younger sister is very agreeable. I lucked out in that department. She doesn't talk back. Well to her parents, to me a little. But we're siblings, so it's expected. She does her chores without complaint and I think she's an all around good kid. ;)

SUCH a similar thing here!
I have a 9 year old sister, I don't tell her to do homework and stuff.
But she can pull such an attitude on me, when I tell her to go do things she is mean't to.
She spends all of her day on the internet or/and on my sisters Wii, she wont do anything else.
My mum will call her for dinner, but she just wont go, she'll just basicly ignore it and stay on whatever she's doing.
Then when I tell her go for dinner already, she'll start an attitude on me. It makes me just want to slap her one.

When we were younger, my sister and I used to always be at each others throats. We would fight physically or verbally like EVERY SINGLE DAY. Dx
But we're older now and don't fight as much.. although... sometimes she can be VERY VERY annoying >> -throttle- (.. I don't really strangle her.. o_o; )

I hate my sister. she ruined my day every day when I still lived at home. she was just a hell on earth. :|
I just CAN'T forgive and forget her. I have nightmares that I still live with her and she's changed back to her own self..... yes, nightmares. she used to be one.
I am trying to be nice, but inside my blood is boiling...
I just once want to yell at her and tell her how she ruined it for me.
but she doesn't even remember what horror she was >.>

What's wrong with spending 2 hours on the internet? :? I spend like 14. Even when I was actually in school I was on about 7-8 everyday. Also I'm not sure why YOU'RE telling her to do her work, that seems like it should be your mom's job.
Anyway my only sibling is a brother and he's 26 and doesn't live here anymore. We pretty much just always stayed away from each other because of our age difference so he never really bothered me much.

I don't call my sister my little sister. xD She's just my sister because I only have one.
When I want something done I just say "You should clean up this mess you made in the kitchen before mom get's home and bitches at you." or "We should clean the living room, it's a sty."
I mostly hate little children, so I just tell them what to do then get peeved when they don't listen to me. xD I'd throttle them if I could.

I used to go into fist fights with my sister and my brother. My other sister wasn't too bad, but my youngest sister used to be the most annoying thing ever. I'd tell, her to do something and she'd wine about it so I'd end up hitting her and then pretty soon, we'd both be on the floor bleeding all over from punching each other. Luckily, now that we grew up, it's not that bad.

I agree, especially if the siblings are younger. I say "I have parents and you aren't them.", "Who died and left you in charge of me?!" I even use the rather immature "You're not the boss of me!". I mostly say the passive aggressive "It's pretty sad when your younger siblings can tell you what to do!" About the pissy attitudes, all kids go through that rebellious stage. So next time you get annoyed when your little siblings give you attitude, remember you were once one yourself and yes, you have given some people pissy attitudes too and most importantly, you're not the parent. I mean no offense in this at all, so please don't get mad at me. *flinches and dodges slaps in the face* DON'T HURT ME!!!

Usually my brother and I got along when we were younger but now that he's growing up he's growing more emo. No, not in outward appearance but in attitude and it really bugs me because he denies it insanely. He and I are only 1 year and 4 months a part but it feels like a lot more than that. ><; Reasons for why I think he's too emo for his own good?
Writes very depressing poetry
HUGE mood swings
Likes to get a rise out of mom and me by somehow wearing or doing something to specifically piss us off.
And pretends to be apathetic to everything.
I swear I'd love to hit some sense into him but I want to figure out something better. His best friend has had just about enough of his emo side so his friend is becoming more my friend now. ><; I wish he'd gotten his stupidity out when he was younger. *he did annoy me when he was little but not like this...little turd*

Wow, seems everyone has horror stories....me? I AM the younger sibling, yet somehow I feel like I'm older than my sister even though we are five years and 2 months and some odd days apart in age. Just some of the things she does gets under my skin, otherwise, when she is acting older we get along swell.
Though I did have my bad moments and she claims I get everything she got only earlier/better.....no duh. Technology changes withing four years so of course what I get will be better...even if it is the worst of what is out there. It also may be because I get along with our parents better too, her and my Dad in the same room = awkward.
Aah, I'm lucky to be the youngest.

My 16 year old little sister will be the death of me.
She's a little monster at times, but it's mostly due to the horde of hormones that are screwing with her judgement.
She'll come around in a few years, once she's got her head screwed on the right way.

I have a younger sister too and we do the whole
"have you done your homework yet" thing
But we don't do it to be her 'parents' we do it because she
has always had a problem with doing her work.
and so we do it to watch out for her.
She already gets to spend at least 1 hour on the computer before she does any of her work,
like a way to unwind from school and all that.
but then she has to start doing her work.
Yas she gives us attitude but its not like we don't give her attitude either.
half the time if we approach it right everything will be wrong.
Yes i want to hit her sometimes but i kno in the end she will grow out of it.

Best thing to do is ignore her she's only nine I'd say worry when she's 13 and starts thinking she's an adult. My little sister is 9 and I'm 23 I just want her to stay preciosu for that little bit longer so i'm not pressuring her until she has to go big school and make life choices. I mean i used to get slapped dragged up the stairs by hair but we live in a different world today were little children who misbehave are pandered too not really a bad thing. Because everythig sorts itself out when you get older. And you start realizing whats important.

My little brother gives me a pissy attitude when I tell him to clean up his own mess. >_< If you leave him to do what he wants, his plates of breakfast, lunch and dinner just stay put on the table, as does the cereal and even the carton of milk, and bread etc etc. He leaves empty wrappers wherever he drops them, and God forbid he should ever wash any dishes. D: Just today at dinner time, he arrived home and dropped his jacket (a jeans jacket with band patches sewn on) on my chair. I picked it up at the lint that should go over a coat hanger (forgot what it's really called) and he got mad at me because "I pulled a thread loose and now the patch will fall off if he doesn't fix it tonight".

I have two younger siblings.
My sister is the worst being as she acts like she can get away with thing.
But I tend to stay out of it seeing as it's not in my pace to say how to raise her as much as I disagree with how they do it.
The raised me much different then her so I don't really see why they just did as they did with me...but yeah I have a whole floor to myself so I don't have to put up with her much.
My brother is fine....well he's getting in that age of rebelliousness but I'm not to worried about him. He's a sweet kid and he's gonna have a lot of girls over him when he's older. XD
