Cheese, the food of the gods! I just love the stuff. I want to know, what is your favorite kind? For sandwich purposes I love cheddar, for snacking I'm all about the Monterey Jack. I can't stand American cheese though, I don't think cheese should be floppy. It just turns my stomach looking at it. What about you guys?

I like cheddar and that cheese with the little bits of jalapeño peppers in it. I can eat those plain or with crackers. I also love the mozzarella cheese sticks from Arby's. Isn't string cheese made of mozzarella as well? I used to love string cheese when I was younger, but only a certain brand. However, it's been so long since the stores around here have sold that brand that I forgot what it was. :sweat:

As for sandwiches, I don't really like any cheese on them. I don't like swiss cheese at all. It's been forever since I had some, so when I noticed that my mom bought some this morning, I decided to try it and see if my tastes had changed. They haven't.

Pepperjack cheese, all the way.

I can't really stand to just eat cheese by itself, however. I prefer it on sandwiches, or in pasta. Or on tacos.

I've never really been able to just sit down and nibble on a pieces of cheese...

Cheddar is my favourite.
I also like Bavarian Smoked cheese.
Some days I like Edam. Even though it's kind of like eating plastic o_o

I can't bring myself to try things like stilton and other ones that look like they have blue mould running through them >.<

Blue cheese...yeah, that actually is mold in them I'm pretty sure. I'd rather eat a pound of American then an ounce of that stuff. :gonk:

Mozzarella cheese, best stuff ever, I especially love mozzarella sticks, all cheesy and gooey, yummy~!

Cheddar is also a favorite of mine for sandwiches and crackers. xP

Yeah, I don't like American or cheddar cheese.

I hate most cheese,
but I do like mozzarella.

Cheese really is a wonderful food, I would eat it constantly if it wouldn't affect my stomach so much. My system doesn't take any sort of dairy very well so I have to watch how much of it I consume. But when I do eat cheese its usually Brie or Goat cheese. Both are very soft which I like and the taste is always very clean.

Though when I was a kid my favorite was sharp chedder and mozzarella. ^^

I'd hate to be lactose intolerant. Dairy products are some of my favorite foods, including cottage cheese. xP

It depends what it's for, and what I'm eating it with.

If I'm just eating it on it's own, or on a cracker, I like a little bit of Wendsleydale with cranberry pieces.
But for cooking, I usually like a really strong cheddar, and I like Brie spread on toast, with mushroom and tomato. *drools*

This thread is making me want cheese...

Swiss is funny for me. I love love love the stuff on a turkey sandwich on wheat bread with a brown mustard, but any other time I don't like it at all. It just goes so well with turkey I suppose...

Hehe, I'm not really a fan of American cheese unless it's melted into something and covered up with other flavors. Ugh, otherwise it's just gross. And Velveta? Who invented oil that isn't even cheese? I used to love it as a kid, but it makes me sick to my stomach to think about now...

I love Smoked Gouda and Mozarella the most. I really like Harvati as well; that's some good cheese. I'm also fond of smoked white cheddar. Pretty much, I'll take any of it smoked; smoked cheese is just so yummy and flavorful. x3 I purposely love lots of mozarella on a dish that goes in the oven - so I can get a crispy top and gooey cheese in it.

Unfortunately, cheese is probably the reason my skin tends to be greasy. The less cheese I eat, the less greasy and pimply my face is. My skin is hereditarily bad. So I have to try to use less and less cheese everyday just to make my skin better. I've never heard that cheese is actually bad for your skin, but it seems to be that my main breakouts have been related to times I've consumed pizza or lasagna or...cheese anyway. xD Just plain cheese will do it. So it makes me kind of sad...but I'll live. ^^; I can't live without cheese, but eeeh, if it's going to do that to me, unless I get a doctor telling me that it's just a strange coincidence (it'd take a lot of disproving though) that my skin suddenly gets oily and then breaks out the next day...I'm trying to cut back. T_T

Edit: I forgot that I love ricotta and um, cottage cheese too. xD
Neither of those bother my skin in the least that I know of. So maybe I should have more of those...

American Cheese is disgusting. D: It's barely even cheese.

Personally, I love Mozzarella the most. Then Swiss and Cheddar. I love just eating shredded cheese out of the bag with a glass of milk. It's yummy. :D

I also like Provolone. :D By itself, it's not so great. But smoked provolone on a ham sandwich is so delicious.


...Dammit, now I want cheese.

I'm kinda surprised, I thought American would be on top of most people's list. Now I feel like less of an oddity though. My sis and hubby think my hatred of the stuff is strange.

i love all kinds of cheese from mozzarella to Parmesan to cottage to blue cheese. but i've gotta say my favorite cheese would be cheddar cheese xD

The best cheeses I've ever tasted are Piave and Parmigiano-Reggiano. Too bad those cheeses are so expensive. =(
