Where the wild things are. New movie based on the story book.
I am excited to this. The trailer I saw looks pretty cool.
I feel like a big kid!
Anyone else interested in this movie? Do you think it is a flop or not?

I thought it was only one book? :/
I saw the trailer too, and as much as I loved the book, I don't think that this will be a good movie.
I mean, how long was the book? How is it even possible to make a movie out of it? xP
Don't get me wrong, I'll probably see it anyways, but I don't think it'll be all that good. xP

There's going to be a movie? I had no idea!
Maybe sometime later when I can listen using earphones I'll watch the trailer.
But I do kind of wonder like New Jersey about how they can make a movie out of the short book.

Sorry it was a typo 's'.
I'm sure they can make up a story long enough for a movie.

I just heard about this movie. I'm so excited!
I loved this book as a kid. The story's cute, but the artwork was always just so awesome. One of my favorite pages was always the two scenes where his bedroom was turning into a forest.
But anyway, this is about the movie, not the book. xD So back on subject...
I'm really excited! It comes into theaters October 16th. I'm hoping that I'll be able to afford to go see it.
Here's the trailer for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. ^^

I saw the previews a few weeks ago and it looks soo good! I doubt it'll turn out bad, at least I hope it doesn't..
But for now all I have to worry about is digging up my old book-I have absolutely no clue where it is-and read it again. ^^

I saw a preview for the movie when I went to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with my boyfriend. He started freaking out cause her recognized it right off the bat! It took me awhile to realize what it was. The movie looks AMAZING in my opinion. The book was great but I think the movie will be just as great as the book was. At least I hope so!

Is anyone planning on seeing it who does not usually go to see kids' movies?
I personally don't particularly care for kids' movies. They're usually a little too cheesy for me. Especially considering that I prefer deep, thought-provoking movies.
But I definitely want to go see this. So that's unusual for me. Just wondering if I'm the only one. ^^

I loved the book as a kid, but I don't think the movie will be very good.
To be frank, it looks a bit stupid.

I think the trailer looks amazing. I really can't wait to see it. Plus, the fact that the monsters are good, old-fashioned muppets, rather than CG, makes me want to see it even more.
But then, I'm a fan of children's movies, as long as they're well done. And this one looks very well done.

I half feel that this is just another Hollywood attempt to continue to cash in on my childhood, but I have to admit that I am very excited for it. The trailer makes me so giddy every time I see it! I ran out and bought the book for my daughter after I saw it, if only because I wanted to share the wonderful story with her!
But, again. I'm not quite sure how it's going to be pulled off. It's either going to be great, or is going to fail spectacularly. I don't think there's going to be room for a middle ground with this one.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this. I saw some commentary on Youtube with the author and the director. It seems like the author is pretty pleased with what they're doing with the movie. That always makes me happy.

I noticed this was being made when I saw a post on one of my livejournal communites I am a member of. My husband loved this book as a kid, and I am actually looking forward to seeing it. Never read it as a kid though, so its kinda exciting for me.

I'm quite excited for this one ^_^
I adored the book as a kid, and seeing a movie adaptation is going to completely bomb everybody with nostalgia. Even if it is a short book, that leaves almost no room for mistakes. You can't really mess up what's not there =3

Before I didn't see the trailer, I thought they were going to ruin a perfect children's book, but when I saw the preview, it looked like an awsome movie. I was an idiot to think it was going to be a horrible movie :headdesk: .

I dunno man, I'd pretty much in 90% dislike with this movie. It's a neat story, but the actual movie reeks of money. But you're right, it's either going to really good, or really fail.
Especially with other movies like Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs; srsly what's next? A movie for The Giving Tree? :/

I cant wait for the movie to come out! I used to love that book when i was younger. I love it still to this day in fact. Its an awesome book no doubt. Hopfully the movie can live up to the book.It would be so bad if the movie made the book seem bad.
