They're events here on mene, usually there is event currency, and new items, and the whole community gets together and just has a good time. There are several events every year, and sometimes we're surprised with new ones (like the Shipwreck Ball, which just passed). Supposedly next is Celes Paradi, or whatever it is called. It should be this month at some point.
