Well, I have noticed some suspicious-looking posts on there. Not a whole lot, but they do appear from time to time. I'd imagine that MLIN, like all sites, has its fair share of trolls. xD

Can you remember where that particular post was, so I can see if there were any comments?

Heh, that kid could be 15 and class being 10 as 'little'. It's like in Grandma's House when Simon doesn't believe an adult human being could have been born in the mid-nineties. XD

Tesco had the Eleventh Doctor's sonic screwdriver for half price so I bought one but I have no non-sonic screwdriver small enough to let me put the batteries in. I'll just make the noise myself for now. Whirr!

An adult couldn't have been born in the mid-nineties. Early nineties, yes. People born in '92 are 18 this year. But not mid-nineties.

*shakes head* I'm still getting over the fact that 2000 babies are ten now.... o_0

I think he was classing a 16 year old as an adult and maybe he used a different phrase like 'fully grown' since I can't remember the exact quote. If you have to pay adult prices for everything it should count. =P

My parents' house is too warm. Yawn.

Kat - Right, but my point was that there weren't any new Sonic games in 2005. So the "everyone else was playing mario bros and sonic" thing doesn't make any sense.

I mean, unless you count the really crappy sonic games like the winter games thing. Which I don't because I like Sonic.

I wasn't trying to argue with anyone. There's always the newer games like Sonic '06 and Unleashed to consider (sorry for reminding a Sonic fan they exist) but saying "Mario Bros" does make me think more of the late 80's/early 90's.

I miss my Mega Drive sometimes. XD

Oh, huh, I hadn't heard of those. I stand corrected, then.

The one I really want is this anthology. Because you can play as Knuckles. I never had a SEGA growing up but I had an emulator on my laptop that had the first three sonic games with the ability to play as Knuckles. I tried it as both and decided Knuckles was superior. I mean, he can climb and glide. Sonic just had the basic abilities. But my laptop died forever and I lost my emulator and haven't been able to find the same one since. Doesn't help that I can't remember whether the game I preferred was 2 or 3.

I'm confused...

To be 100% honest, though, even new 'Who is cheesy at times... the dialouge is always well-done, all parts with the Doctor and his companion are great, but sometimes the villains are just so... so...

[Cherry] Sadly, this is true. xD Though some of them are well done, and even if it's cheesy it's still cool xD /cough

Yeah, some are definitely well done. The Family comes to mind. And of course the Daleks and Cybermen are forever terrifying.

But then the other day I went to watch some of Season 1 and I started with episode 3 and there was this vampire old lady with this terrible special effects blue swirly stuff around her head and I... I didn't go any further than that, I just decided to watch something else. >> Granted, I was in a bad mood and felt like throwing some things, I probably wouldn't have normally shut it off. But still.

So you know how when you empty your "recycle bin" on your computer it makes that paper rustle noise? I think I need to download a clip of a cyberman saying "DELETE!" and change it so it plays that instead.

Mine doesn't make any noise, but that would be friggen awesome xD

That reminds me, next year, for my birthday party I'm going to have a cyberman head pinata! :insane:

WAAAAAH!!!! Me wants!

Ugh, I HATE not having Internet. Hey, anyone here know if the Doctor likes peanut-butter-butterscotch cookies? I just made a boatload of them! I've officially inherited my dad's baking talent.

The Christmas Timey one with the vapor people? I actually liked that one. But I'm a Dickens fan.

Doctor Who monsters can be really terribly cheesy at times. The Slitheen, for example.. I really don't like those episodes. But it keeps getting less cheesy I think, so I hope it continues that way. And maybe what we think is cheesy is what keeps this series as a "family" series, rather than a "grown up" series..

I think the cheesy just adds to the overall effect...
And I'm glad I'm not alone with my hatred for the Slitheen, they bothered me

They were mostly in season 1, weren't they? It's been so long since I've seen whatever episode they were in, I mostly know them from brief cameos in more recent seasons.

Biggles - I can't really attest to whether it's a good episode or not, I couldn't really even get to the theme song. The intro just irritated me. I'm going to try to watch the whole episode again sometime soon, though.

ljos - The "family" aspect is another possibility... I just tend to forget that Doctor Who is a family event for many in England. I tend to enjoy aspects of it that would go over the head of a kid so I forget that there are other things there that a kid would like.

Taiyo - Maybe if you baked fishsticks into them?
