Yeah, well, um, that's basically all I have the courage or desire to show right now, hahahaha XD Both were freehanded, no gestures to begin with. And the digital drawing was one-layered (Kinda obviously, hahahaha XD). Thanks for looking! Any critiquing is greatly appreciated :)

Sweet! Can't wait for more! (Now you have to show rest of your art. Pretty please? :3 ) The backgrounds of the eagle is a brave choice. Its comic book-style is totally opposite to eagle's dignity and... reality. You know, the eagle looks so realistic! But you've done a great job with combining these styles. Very unique!

Thank you so much, Isendor! That's the first time I've heard something about the background, and you're right! I didn't notice it until now, but the simplicity of the stars and lines do contradict all aesthetics of the eagle, hahahahahha XD When I got halfway through your comment I was like, "Oh crap! Did I just disgrace America?" But I'm glad you thought I was able to mesh the things together! :) I think it's mainly because of the kind of cooling effect given by the deep blue.

Mad: Oh thanks! Yeah, Tao is a little crazy, but just when he's pissed. Otherwise he's pretty chill, if not perpetually disquieted by others and their thoughts (he's a futuristic character who's deaf and uses a special two-way headset device to tap into people's mindzzzzz XD). And the mouth was really fun to edit, especially with so many balancers and effects in this new program I'm using.
It's really great! Wish I had thought of it, hahahahaha! :D Dude, I say that to my dog all the time (he's sort of my name sake, online-wise, that is)

I feel exactly the same! It's fun to draw and all, but applying the techniques and improving are hard! Analyzing other's art is pretty fun too, especially trying to understand their message.

Mad: XD I'll have to start watching you too! And thanks, someone said that to me today and I was instantly reminded of you, hahahahaha! Now I feel kinda creepy... :<
And no! I love talking about OCs too! People are so interesting with the stories they make up, and it's really great for inspiration! Do you have any OCs that you'd like to talk about?
And I actually have a sort of story idea for Tao, kind of like a manga, if I ever decide not to be completely lazy, hahahahaha. Tao has a hard time getting along with people, that partly being consequence of how he really looks for the flaws in people instead of their virtues. I thought that there would be another student who used to be very reserved and quiet but also highly respected who had the same flaw. Once this other student began seeing the positive in everything he became much more up-beat and out-going, though since he wasn't this enigma anymore people didn't really revere him, though they still were friendly and all. The story I have plotted out for Tao includes this other student, but since I haven't been able to come up with a satisfactory design for him, the story hasn't developed anything past a very basic outline.
And I have no idea where I was going with that. Maybe, do you think, I could enlist your help is designing this character?
