So I began listening to these guys with Orphan tears, and Tig Ole Bitties, but it wasn't my favourite stuff ever or anything.

Recently, however, their music has changed quite a bit, with songs like Alien, Friend Zone, Complicated and most recently, Take Over The World, and I really like the changes. They make quite cool, relate-able statements.

Do you guys listen to them? What do you think?

I love Your Favorite Martian. I've been a fan of them since My Balls. They're not my favorite band, but they're actually up there.

I really agree with what you're saying. I love their deeper songs that they've been posting lately. I've listened to Take Over the World like twelve times today. I thought about posting a thread about them myself, but I didn't expect a lot of response. My Music forum threads never do well. XD

They're becoming more skilled. In more ways than one.

That said, I definitely hope that they don't altogether quit with the comic, less serious music. My friend Alicia and I absolutely love We Like Them Girls. XD We sing it all the time. Some of my other favorite less serious songs are Robot Bar Fight, Tig Ol Bitties, Whip Yo Kids, 8-Bit World, and of course My Balls. Haha.

Unfortunately, no I don't like that one. D: Sadder still, I seem to be like the only person in the world who didn't like it. XD Haha.

I had someone come into my work and hand me one of their CDs a while back. He claimed it was his band and I had no idea who they were at the time. Entertaining music but nothing that I would take seriously.

Really? That's pretty douchey of your friend. Your Favorite Martian hasn't even released an actual CD yet. They've just released about 30 independent singles on Youtube. Though they are planning an album.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say that "Take Over the World," the song they released just this week, is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I absolutely love it, and every time I listen to it, I like it a little bit more.

Finally, I'd like to say that Mystic, if you enjoyed them at all, you should listen to their more recent stuff. They're transitioning into a much more serious, less comedic style, and they're doing an awesome job at it. :D

I didn't really think anything of it because I've had people come in and hand demos/cds for listening before so I just figure it was just another band trying to get air time. ^^; I may have to look their other stuff up at some time. I didn't think they were bad just silly.

My favorite for a LONG time was zombie love song...then they put out Alien and Complcated.
Those are BY FAR the best songs they've made.
Especially complicated...that song is so "purrrrdy"
