There are a lot of people signed up as hosts that haven't signed up to host a specific thread. You might ping them to see if they want to help you.

i have no idea what tl:dr is, but it sounds great.

tl:dr means 'too long: didn't read'... Wyrm has a problem with making less words. Making more words is easy, but less words is hard. I'm afraid to overwhelm people with a long story before the mystery.

I try to be the opposite. When something can be condensed I have this urge to let myself condense it. Though if I'm explaining something (rules, or introducing something the maybe a newbie won't understand until they read) then I write paragraphs.

When we design our sticky threads, should we have a relative theme/outline for each one that everyone corresponds with? That way it is easier for the users to navigate each thread? Or should we just play it by ear, and let everyone do their own thing?

ummmm... thats part of the fun with the mysteries. and if they don't want to read it, and just want to wildly guess than they will :]

i think one theme maybe would be easiest for all of us

I second this. We should all establish that first post is banner, second is intro, third is rules, etc. Or whatever order we come up with.

I agree. Having a similar theme will really help to make it look cohesive as well.

Hm... I know I just said post 1, post 2, post 3... but should we perhaps do it in a certain order instead? I know some threads will require more posts to get to the point than others.

I've been organizing my thread materials along those lines. I'm planning to have a brief post about coffee traditions and hospitality, and a couple mini games.

So far, the only name I've come up with for my thread is The Caravan Coffee Tent. Anyone have any better ideas?

Might make it Caravan Coffee Tent and Hangout, just to clue people in. But that's up to you, I'm probably underestimating intelligences.

Good point. That makes me want to call it Caravan Coffee Tent: A Hangout. I'm always looking for ways to name things that way.

Yours is great for your particular thread, Wyrm. But Shadamis' generalized layout works better for all the threads. Obviously, we'll have more posts for some threads to get everything out than for others.

That looks like a goood setup wyrm and as for the other threads they may have less than 15 so.. yeah :D

for the mystery one you do need more posts. and for double hostswe may need two intro posts. ect. we'll get it worked out :D

Well, not only the order of posts, but also like how we do the the title for each post, stuff like that.

I've been playing around with Primarily text layouts recently. Not that we should make a rule that everyone needs to do either all text titles or picture titles.

Although for Post order, I agree that I prefer stuff to be in this order:

1. Title/banner
2. Introduction to Thread & Hosts
3. Rules/Prizes
4. CORE MATERIAL
5. FAQs
6. Reserved
