Intro

Well, I think that Polish alternative music is awesome, but very unknown worldwide. I guess everyone knows Chopin, but what about Kazik, Myslovitz, Closterkeller? No? Then scroll down to listen to some awesome music!
(PS: I'll try to add lyrics and translations asap.)

----------

Rock

Myslovitz
Myslovitz is a Polish alternative rock band, whose music incorporates elements of college rock, shoegazing, and - arguably - britpop (Artur Rojek used to admit Suede influence), with a dose of melancholy. Although often dubbed “the Polish Radiohead” by critics, their music is actually more reminiscient of Coldplay and Travis or early Radiohead.

Dla Ciebie, Acidland, My, Długość dźwięku samotności, Chciałbym umrzeć z miłości

Republika
Republika is a Polish new wave band from the 1980s. The group formed in Toruń, Poland, in 1979 as Res Publica and began playing Jethro Tull-style prog rock. This type of music proved to be unpopular with fans, so the original leader, Jan Castor, quit the band.
In 1981, Grzegorz Ciechowski, taking over the as the new head, moved the group’s sound from prog rock closer to New Wave and rechristened the band Republika. The group disbanded in 2001, following Ciechowski’s death.

Zapytaj mnie, czy cię kocham, Republika Marzeń, Odchodząc, Śmierć na pięć

Coma
Coma is a Polish alternative rock band, founded in 1998 in Łódź by Dominik Witczak (guitar) and Tomasz Stasiak (drums).
You can find translations on the official website in the 'płyty' tab, then click on CD and you can see lyrics and translations. > Coma - łódzki zespół rockowy
