Juliet walked down the hall quietly, humming to herself. That was nothing unusual for her. She was majoring in singing at a high class Preforming Arts University. On a scholarship, no less. She never got conceited about it, though. She danced down the hallway, humming. Not many people found this odd anymore. Even her clothes were a bit odd. She had on rainbow skinny jeans and her favorite Rocky Horror Picture Show shirt. She paused outside her room, and noticed she was quite early, which surprised her.

She shrugged and sat down outside the room and looked over her sheet music. She finally was getting to pick a modern song and she chose Forgiven by Within Temptation. She sat on the floor and quietly sang to it, glancing at the sheet music as she did. She had the song nearly memorized, but she still had a bit to go. She soon lost herself in the music and wouldn't have noticed anyone that came near her.

She loved singing. This had been her dream since she was seven. She was thrilled to be living it. She kept singing quietly, reading the notes as she went. Her messenger bag was settled next to her and she rested slightly on it. The bag was rainbow and covered in LGBTQ pins, patches and buttons. She was bi-curious, but deeply supported the cause no matter who she was with. She enjoyed being odd and outspoken. Everyone knew her for it, too.

Matt had been in the studio from six in the morning, there was something about the dance piece he was working on that made him want to dance every free second he could. He didn't have any real class today, it was more of an open studio for him where he could use his time as he needed.

So here he was trying his best to get his own choreographed routine done for a class later that week. Matt focused in on contemporary, which most men found lame, but truly it was where he could be his quirky self. His movements were typical of a ballet dancer, and often told an interesting story.

At this moment he was rehearsing for the twentieth time that morning, his form was near perfect as he jumped in the air and landed on the ground into a roll. He continued on until he hit the one snag that caught him every time, a trick of strength that required an arial cartwheel that he couldn't land firmly. This time he stumbled back a bit, he brought a hand up to his hair and ran it through, he wondered if he should remove that aspect.

Juliet perked up after a few more minutes and headed into the room. There was a glass wall separating her room and the dance studio. She slid into her chair in the back of the room, contently. Even though she was in the back of the room, she stood out in her bright pants and bright hair. She hummed lightly to herself while she put her sheet music in her folder. She wasn't singing for a bit, and the pianist had the music, as well.

She listened to the other singers contently, picking out any mistakes. She always did that, for some reason. She was never mean about it, it was just for her own...amusement. She jotted down a few notes as she did this, mainly songs she wanted to look up. She had over twenty thousand songs on her computer, due to things like this. And she was a self deemed music whore.

She was able to do two songs, which was fairly unusual, except she was a scholarship student, so they allowed it. When her name was called, everyone perked up. She'd been keeping her songs a secret until now. She was a bit nervous, but she knew she could sing it. The pianist smiled at her and she began her first song, Forgiven, by Within Temptation. She didn't glance at her music until she got to the lines: "I've been so lost since you've gone." She never was able to understand it without her music. But, until then she had her eyes closed, contently.
