Air Gear is about the lives of Itsuki "Ikki" Minami and his friends along with the latest trend, Air Trecks. The early parts of the story carry out the introduction of characters that eventually join Ikki, and as the story progresses, it focuses on their roles as Storm Riders and their quest to be on the top of the Trophaeum Tower.

Air Treks:Basically, these are high-end, customizable, motorized inline skates. Generally, Air Trecks are very expensive (running normally ¥100,000 a pair; which is about $1,000), requiring regular maintenance and tuning. These self-propelled trick skates are powered by a precisely calibrated air cushion system, and it's with this that allows AT users to "fly"; enabling them to perform daring leaps and trick. Also each pair is installed with a special data support network via a program called READ, which allows Riders to access performance data on another Rider from the data stored on the memory card inserted inside the AT.

Storm Riders:The general name for AT users, although occasionally dubbed just "Riders". In the AT World, Rider are categorized by ranks which are broken into 6 class divisions: F-Class (for beginners), E-Class, D-Class, C-Class, B-Class, and A-Class.

The episodes of Air Gear are available http://www.tv-links.co.uk/listings/3/2026 and at http://youtube.com/

I normally strongly dislike anime but this has definitely changed my mind. The RPs I've done with Air Gear were terrific! They got my blood PUMPING.They forced you to think on your feet in a Parts War battle and challenges you to create a succesfull team of stormriders to get to the top.I thought this would be a great RP to bring to the site because its very interesting and it doesnt bring to boredom while you're doing it.

  • What the heck can I do to get people to join?
    I'm a literate RPer,
I'm quick to act in a situation
I'm easy to get along with.
Its so hard to recruit people

Most people look in the actual role play forum for role plays to join. Generally speaking they are set up with an intro, rules, application, etc. You might consider setting one up.

If they are interested they will join you. There are many avid RPers here who post daily, if not more. Sometimes the RP forum moves slow, with the exception of the really active stories. You might also try looking at some of them if you are interested. Some of them are accepting and some are not.

Above all, just be patient.

Also edit your original post rather than double and triple posting :)

Yeah here's the thing. The Anime is fast paced, people aren't, they don't move as fast as you. Frankly you act like yer hopped up on sugar and need to post as fast as the Anime characters can move. Gotta have some patience bro. Chill out a bit. An RP wasn't built, played and ended in one day, know what I mean? (LARPS dont count >.>... xD)

As for people who havent watched Air Gear. Like me. You may wanna wait till the watch it and get a better feel for it. I'm gonna have a look myself because it has gotten my attention, but I'll probably be too busy to join.

Most people like rps with original storylines and settings. I know I personally wouldn't want to roleplay a pre-made character. It's fun creating your own characters :] And much more creative.
