Shimmering Lullaby

Crystal shards scattered in darkness
Glint with scance rays of light
Amongst gentle petals in the sky
Riding the warm Western breeze.

Velvet night unto pearlesque morning
And the singing birds are lain to rest
And that perfect blue from sea to mountain
Becomes a mirage of the deeper void.

The sunlit waters trickle over bubbley rocks
And waves of green shine before the clouds
Whispering butterflies to shadowed dragons
And all is calm beneath the warm sunshine.

Until Indigo, billowing clouds mount the horizon
And fiendish lances strike the Earth
And songs become cries of sorrow
...And prayer.

Despairing winds blow, tossing leaf and stone
Flames lick inky veils from green brush
Eating all that was, dead or alive
Until that perfect blue sky has no use.

In the end crystal shards still sing their lullaby
To gentle petals lost to the sky
Upon the warm Western breeze
Floating forever in the star speckled night.

Angels

In a time, lost long ago
Winged spirits drifted by
Hearing a plea
They fled to the cry
Leaving their homes of crystal and peace
Worlds of time and space pass by.

The plea becomes louder
The spirits fly faster
Worlds passed spin round and round
Stable as stone alabaster
Fearing for earth, and it’s cry for help
For death would soon be it’s master.

A planet of despair
They found drifting in space
Wind, water, and fire worn
War had cracked earth’s face
What was once a beautiful planet
Now lies dead, no longer graced.

Tears of gold, the spirits shed
As their mission, on earth they arrived
Using healing powers and strengths
Caring and remaking, bringing Earth alive
Slowly and surely, earth began to see the day
And light poured from the heavens on an Earth revived.

The fires of Earth roared
Yet trees and animals grew
As water began to flow
The icy wind blew
Clouds formed and rain fell down
There was one thing left to be made anew.

Before the spirits left
For their task was not done
They had to share a gift
A gift of light everlasting shone
A gift of pure hope
To ensure life went on.

The spirits went home
To a world of crystal and fairing
And Earth survived
Due to their courage and daring
But we will never forget them
For the gift the Angels gave us was a gift of
Sharing.

Stress Kills

marching long into the night
trying to avoid any fight
running away from Shadow's whisper
to a chill breeze all the crisper
and through clouds you fall and roll
this stress is taking a lethal toll
then BAM the ground is split asunder
you are broken by it's thunder
through razor blades the sun peeps through
shining, binding, blinding you
in defeat you slide to the floor
as you think about that door
the one you walk through everyday
to those naughty kids who'll have to pay
at last teh day has come
your words will be heard by everyone...
or wil they only see your father's gun?
