But what's the point of giving up on your chance with someone just because they are further away? I've managed to make a long distance relationship work, and I'm very happy that we both tried to keep together even though it would have been easy to just start dating people around me.
I think people put too much stock in the physical part of a relationship. Its beginning to sound like, if there's no sex, what's the point? But a relationship isn't about sex, its about trusting someone, communicating with that person, being there when things are going wrong (and if you can't be physically there, at least listen and show support). It's like no one wants to try anymore, they want things to be easy and to always be happy but life isn't easy and you have to put up with hard times.
