The slow, biologically-created ones seem the most likely scenario, primarily because nerve tissue breaks down fairly rapidly after death. This would mean much lower nerve conduction velocities, so slower reactions and motions.
As to your comment before, Silvan, I did not respond simply because I had no more intelligent thoughts to add on that topic. There is really no way of predicting the transmissability or open-air survival rates of a virus without having a sample to culture and test, so there was little to nothing I could use for factual support.

Your taking into account that something has to be dead to be a zombie. Your assuming thats easier when its not look at 28days later they wheren't really dead they where just like rabid dogs.
And its Silvanakat not Silvan
Sound more like a cop-out.

There's are all way better plans than mine. *Sighs* Now I have to buy World War Z... but anway, same thing goes here. Finding my fortress, preferably a mall or an abandoned store where the survivors and I could store food and weapons. In case we need to make getaways or trip outside for supplies, cover any vehicles we may be using with metal. Oh and get a radio and computer to communicate with the outside world.

Honestly, I think that zombies at different stages will be like the ones in a bunch of different movies.
When a person gets bitten by a zombie, and changes, they made be dead but aside from a few bite marks, their body is usually intact. This means that it can walk, run, and fight because it's not missing parts that have decayed. However, as a zombie decays, it starts losing muscle and such and the ability to move quickly. So, after a while, the zombies may be slow and stupid, but in the beginning of the outbreak I think they will be fast and very hungry.
That's just how I see it, anyways.

I do not wish to get into an arguement with you, Silvan, although you seem to be looking for one. Therefore, I will be ignoring you henceforth.
That sounds like a valid theory, Thunder. A lot of it would probably depend on exactly how the virus managed to re-animate the dead tissue, and how much of the original body it used to do it.

If you don't have a weapon, then running away is a very good plan, even more so than if you are armed. Head for open areas away from cities, and try to acquire supplies and weapons as much as possible.

Wow, I m not the only one's who has thought of a Zombie escape plan. I think that it would depend on where I was when I got the word that people were randomly eating other people.
I would hope in the best situation that they attacked on a weekend, that way I wouldn't have to travel to my daughters school from work or be afraid of where she was while this was happening.
As soon as it would happen I would be on my cell talking to my mom seeing where she was and if she got the kids (my daughter/nephew) home from school safely. Then I would call my husband to see if he can make it home from work. He works close to the edge of the city.
After everyone I love is in the same place I would take the car to the bus depot hijack a bus then go back home load everyone on the bus and proceed to a more northern, less populated part of Canada. I live in Winnipeg right now. If the virus or whatever started the zombies is strong enough
to get threw Manitoba's winter then we'll be screwed anyway but if not we'll be safe.
Of course on the way to the more northern location there we would stop for supplies whenever possible. Since I have planed for this I have a few weapons I keep hidden at home. Various knifes and bludgeons, my husband was in the military too so he has some knowledge of what to do with a fire arm should we happen to get one.
Unless of course the virus crosses species and we get Zombie polar bears . . . I have no plan for zombie polar bears. *is now scared of Zombie polar bears.*

I've thought of a Zombie defense plan, but I have yet to really think of a good escape. Right now I'm a sitting duck in my home. I'm on the second floor apartment and there's only one way out besides jumping out the windows and seriously injuring myself.
My defense plan would cost millions of dollars to execute though.
I would have large thick pine trees planted close together followed immediately by a barbed wire fence (at the top and all throughout the fence) followed by a 15 foot concrete wall, followed by a moat 12 feet wide filled with flammable liquid. There would be a camera rigged to the other side of the moat (another 15 foot concrete wall) where I could see if the zombies got that far and they had I would be able to activate a flame that would scorch them in the moat.
If they got out of the moat somehow (like super jumping zombies or whatever) I would just shoot their brains out.
Inside the walls of doom I would have a big house with lots of property for growing my own garden and raising my own cattle. I would have a state of the art water filtration system so I wouldn't be drinking from dead zombie water. And I would just stay there till the end.
Unfortunately this is not really something I could do because I don't have millions or billions of dollars. But if I did... believe me I would have started making it already. I'm scared to death of zombies. I actually think about them a lot. I know it sounds stupid.

My plans for a redoubt are fairly simple, although they would be time consuming and expensive to carry out. Mainly they build off of the fallout shelter idea, because the requirements are much the same, only on a larger scale. The prime core of the shelter is a 100m geodesic dome, made from two-inch lexan panels. That would be used for recreation, and possibly for emergency housing. Food would be supplied as MREs and other packaged products, supplemented by a hydroponic garden. Water would come from a deep well, and be run through the PBR's heat exchanger for purification. Last but not least, power would be supplied by a small pebble bed reactor, which will provide ample energy for use in the facility, and to power a number of external defense systems.

i would probably freeze up and be scared sense that would be terrifying >< but then i would get over it and gather up alot of weapons and then i would buy some brains of another animal and throw then at the zombies so they owuldnt eat my brains like get frozen animal brains even though its disgusting it would hold off the zombies and then i would gather alot of people and form an alliance and kill as many zombies as i could and also hide somewhere far away and use some kind of bomb or grenade and kill off alot of them and yes i would hangout at a mall sense it is really big and has food and water and other drinks so i could survive for a while alot of zombie related things always end up being at the mall because you have so many tools at your disposal and its the only way to survive xP
