As I've mentioned a time or two, I do art...so uh...here's as good an intro as any; going from newest to oldest...and please, feel free to ask questions or comment.

I may take a while to get back to any comments etc...but I should. >_>;;

And I think that this is something I shouldn't have to say but will anyway: Do not take these images for your own.

Thank you Rasengan. I have no idea what I should be charging for any work done here...I've yet to learn the ropes!

Also, as sad as it makes me, I may not do commissions here since I've got a lot going on through Gaia and with off-line cash commissions and doll face-up/blushing. ._.

Still haven't decided on opening shop or not...perhaps I'll do an auction or somethingand see how that goes.

Or wait until I've figured out what my work is worth here on Menewsha :3 Thank you both so much!

Why thank you Nemui! I'm not really certain what the first one is either...I was listening to the soundtrack for Mr. Brooks (Kevin Costner) and then the song "Vicious Traditions" by The Veils came on and I started just...putting the "ink" (digital, of course) down in OpenCanvas, and when the song had ended...that's what I had.

Quite honestly, I'm in love with it, but I don't think people are going to go about paying for interpretive artwork since I'm not Monet, Picasso or any other famous dead artist *chuckles a bit*.

shoot i would pay for that kinda art but thats cuz im an art junkie and i apprecatiate anything.
plus it takes me away from the usual anime/manga art you see on sites.
which get old after a while [no offense to you i do the same art too XD] its just snice to see somethng different.

Oh, no offense taken. I am well aware that the anime/manga style art is now predominant in the art world on sites like this one, Gaia, dA, etc. It's just everywhere...and while it's nice and yes, I use that style -- it really is nice to step away from it and deviate once in a while.

Plus, it's therapeutic and good for the soul. Once can only draw so many "cute cat/fox-girls" before one looses all sense of artistic sense.

Thanks Caeluma, Aonith! :3 I will definitely wait until after Halloween if I do anything - my work load is really too heavy right now for me to be taking on anything extra for a week or two at least.

:D

**Edit 10.30.07**

I've managed to do a few "skribbles" for people around the Menewsha website already and am going to post them here as an update of sorts. Enjoy.

And I've managed to get one other piece "lined" - this is a cash commission for a friend of mine ($40.00; but I still need to color it @[email protected];; )

ya i kno what you mean..after awhile i must break away from the anime/manga style as well.
Although it does sadden me to kno that, that seems to be the style taking over, its a wonderful style but it getting to that point of WOW..

oh ya it is good to get away from it, i kno i feel so much better when i break away from it.

I don't know that it's taking over so much as that it's what is wanted so that's what people are drawing. I know that's how it is with me 0w0. For a while I was drawing mostly busty fantasy "chicks" with big swords and very little clothing, and then Lord of the Rings came out and everyone wanted delicate elvish creatures. When The Legend of Narnia came out it was more fantasy, but this time it was knights and dragons and beasts.

Of course, there was always the anime stuff, but it's become even more prevalent now that sites like Gaia Online and Subeta, Neopets, Menewsha, Maple Story, Ragnarok Online, etc are in existence -- people feed on the anime art because it's what looks closest to the little pixel avatars that they've grown to love. :3

Having said that, it really can be a great way to blow off some "artistic steam" by just...screwing around. Doing "scratch-board" style stuff...or just sloshing the digital paint around on the digital canvas to music and seeing what happens.

*whistles* Eh hem, sorry for being so long winded! The whole "supply/demand" thing always gets me. It's why I'm pretty good at marketing! X3;;

y ai understand wher your coming from..The media usually helps influance the latest art trend, which in my opinion kinda sucks. I miss the days of when art was art and it didnt matter what you drew beucase it was all considered beautfiul.

i kno there have been many times i have seen peopel critiize real art beause it was not anime/manga style.
and in my opinion a person who can draw traditional art [real life portraits, landscapes, and so forth] have a real talent.
im not saying anime/manga artist dont have talent cuz they do, but they dont have the right to critize something that has a been in the art tradition for yeaars.

Half of me is afraid that anime/mangha will take over the art industry and i dont want that.

Ah, that one has long been a favorite (well, not -that- long since it wasn't made too long ago, but it's also been a real crowd pleaser!) I'm really glad you like it, thank you for coming in and taking a peek at what I've done~
