I really love to watch Anime and my current favorite is Gintama. This show always makes me laugh, no matter how many times i've seen an episode. The stuff in there are really random, yet they flow so well....kinda. It's amazing how Hideaki sorachi is able to make some reeeeeaally cool characters act like complete idiots without damaging their reputation.

Anyways I'd like to know what your thoughts on Gintama is. And if you didn't read/watch the manga/anime, I recommend you to. It really is one of the best out there since it always lifts your spirits up.

I read the two previews in Shonen Jump xDDD and I found their jokes really funny, but some just missed the target probably due to the culture difference. All in all I really liked it and I was thinkin about picking it up xD

you should. I'm sure you'd really like it. Later on they have a bunch of really awesome jokes and I love how they always parody off of different anime or manga.

I'll definitely keep it in mind the next time I buy manga xD I've got a lot of series on the go at once now tho o.o but i can't help myself xDDD I need variety

Easily said this is one of the most funny, hilarious and stupidest (not in a bad way!) anime I have ever seen. Even when the scenes are just black and only voices (which happens sometimes) it still remains funny as hell. The characters are simply too funny to be true. Note: the first 5 episodes are intro episodes! After this it gets really funny straight for ep 6 to end. The anime has some "serious" arc's, to be frank, these are the most disappointing to the anime in my opinion -> the arc's contain drama and this certainly doesnt fit the whole Gintama image (which is Comedy all the way), even with the pretty fighting in this arc's I cant get myself to like all them.

Elizabeth and Katsura are my heroes. =w=
Then again all the characters in gintama generally pwn.

I love Gintama! I especially love seeing Okita, because he makes me laugh the most. I love comedically sadistic characters and there aren't all that much like Okita in other anime. Next, the whole Elizabeth thing is hilarious. Just what IS in that thing? XD Also, Gintoki's personality is amusing. Even though I really dislike his character design, his personality shines through and manages to get me to laugh every time. :D
