So, Under Grand Hotel is a manga I recently finished that is definitely. . .different, and I'm curious to know if anyone else has read this and liked it.
It's a yaoi series, and by yaoi, I mean YAOI, not shonen-ai.
It's far from a fluff series.
The manga is about prison life, for that matter, and it's graphic.
But I personally loved it.
Sen and Sword are definitely one of my new favorite couples.

I've read the manga a couple of times. I love it. It has a pretty good storyline, unlike some mangas I read in the past. The artwork was pretty good.

The beginning and the ending confused me though. At first,I thought that the first chapter was supposed to be the end but I heard users in manga fox say otherwise. Also, for the last chapter, some users believe that both Sen and Sword are alive and are witness protection but others said that they both died and went to heaven. What do you do you believe happened?

I like some of the main chracters. My favorite character is Sen. Although, Sword's personality tends to scare me. Who is your favorite character?

I loved Sword. I generally love the dominating characters, haha, and he definitely fits the bill.

The first chapter, if you're refering to the thing where Sen and Sword escaped, wasn't related to the story itself. The author said that she loved the characters and just wanted a chance to try and draw them in casual clothes, so that chapter was made as an extra 'what if' sort of thing.
I want to believe that they died and went to heaven, since that would be a better ending in my opinion, but I think the ending points more towards witness protection. After all, they had to use fake names, Sword's cross was given away, and Sword's hair was cut. I don't see why his hair would be cut if he weren't trying to hide his appearance.

I tend to prefer less dominating ones, myself. That's probably why I like Sen.

I read in one of the users in manga fox said that she thinks that they're in heaven because of Sword's lack of scar(s). Do you know what she's talking about? Personally, I think they're still alive because that's my idea of their happy ending. Also, that would explain why Sen and Sword had to change.
