Dear Addicts,
You all seem to be having fun with Menewsha's 2009 Easter Event! Keep finding those clues, because yours truly may not have time to participate. Make me proud!
On a more serious note, I've heard that there have been event threads "branching" from DCAA. If you would like to make an event thread under DCAA, that's fine, but you MUST get permission from either Yotsy or myself. Also, I would like if you could link people to DCAA. We're always happy for new addicts.
Thanks for your cooperation, and keep savin' dem bunnies chilren ;o
P.S Failure to abide by these rules will result in 2 warnings. After that, you're blacklisted. And c'mon, do we really need a blacklist? </3

I don't know how to say this so im going to come right out with it, DCAA is not your sole property, there IS a DCAA thread On every avatar site and a few dozen others not even affiliated with mene. Yours was Not the first one either there is an older one on gaia, and several older ones On other forums. It looks to me Like nothing But petty jealous posturing. Which is fine it is the only once created By you on this site. However I have no time for such pettiness or such a childish reaction to nothing more than a thread for people with a common interest to post in located in the event forum. Nothing has been said before about this matter and there has been a DCAA event thread in the past 4 events on this site. I also didn't run the thread however if there WAS an issue it should have been addressed a LONG time ago. In A PM and not publicly. Then a rule posted about it someplace for regular members Of which I am No longer to read. Ive been coming to this thread for almost a year now However I am unsubscribing now. Best wishes to all, may your eggs all hatch. I just have No time for a thread that exhibits a junior high school "Im not getting the credit I think I deserve mentality".

I actually have to agree with Phoenixx about this. This isn't the only DCAA in existence and shouldn't be "owned" by anyone. In other words. Sorry Yotsy and Randall, but neither of you own the thread. And there shouldn't be a problem in having a event thread. Granted yes, not many of us will be in the main thread during events. But, we all come back to the main thread after the event, and most of the time, with new people coming along with us. What could be a good idea is actually only allowing 1 person to create an event thread and ONLY 1 person. and if that person won't do it, then there won't be an event thread.
You also have to realize, that even now even though there isn't an event thread, pretty much the majority of us regulars are in the event forum and not here posting.
So either way, not many of us are showing up in the main thread right now no matter what is done.
Sorry for the rant. I just wanted to state something. >.<

This is a silly thing for people to be arguing about and being petty over. I agree that whether or not there is an event thread, we are going to be posting in the event forum during events. We all are mene members and want to participate in the events and get the event items. Of course we're going to be there. If this thread had an official event double, then perhaps we could still be there together, and yes we would probably bring a person or two back with us.

Quite frankly, I don't see the need to abide by what is said unless it's an official moderator and/or admin.
Hell, half the time, I don't even need to post in this thread, except that I'm impatient for my Unis to hatch and grow.
NONE of us absolutely need to post in this thread, between being able to put DC eggs in our sigs, the DC ER/hatchery/daycare, and being able to post our eggs in other websites where they'll garner the amount of clicks needed, like myspace, facebook, livejournal, and a multitude of others.
And really, if you're trying to establish the whole 'ownership' thing, then YOU don't own it either: it's rightfully the property of the DC creators, upon whose website this thread was founded.

I'm going to address this since Randall isn't always online. For awhile back, through the previous events Randall hadn't been online very much. He'd lost internet for awhile there so of course it was only addressed now, that he has his internet back. I've been keeping an eye on the event threads that have popped up and I spoke to the latest involved party about this and said I'd get back to her after I PM'd Randall. Both Randall and I have talked about it and we've kind of decided we may like to have one person be elected to create the event threads since they'll be directly relating to this original thread. I am also aware that neither Randall or myself have any real claim to the 'DCAA' name but here on Mene Randall and I were the first to make the thread therefore any branch threads on Mene we feel should be run by us or by someone we've elected to run ALL event threads. As of right now we haven't had enough time to talk it over and decide on who we think should run event threads. I do apologize if what Randall had posted came off as brash but it's just the way he and I feel. I do apologize for not having more detail given on the whole having a single individual run the event threads but it was still being discussed at the time when Randall posted above. Now, Phoenixx... I'm not going to bother saying anything to persuade you to stay. You're allowed to leave here and never return, I'm just sorry that you didn't wait to decide that until everything could've been explained and or clarified.
In a cliff note, Randall and I are currently in the process of talking and deciding on a single person be it him, me, or a regular member to be in charge of all future event threads.

egosh, I have been on various sites like this for years, but this whole thread ownership and such is a new one on me. And I think it's kinda dumb really. Mene owns the site. If Mene doesn't care that there are multiple threads on the site talking about basically the same thing, then there shouldn't be any squabbling amongst us ... besides, you should ALL be going to my chat room anyway! ;)

This whole thing really wasn't supposed to get this out of hand and I really feel like what Randall posted got taken in the worst context. I merely wanted talking to him to accomplish getting a single person to take care of event threads for this thread. Maybe even create some little banners or something for event threads. That's all I was looking for and so far this has turned into a giant mess with people getting upset over nothing really. o-O; And working damage control is so hard when people are so upset over this *flail*

Cynnie just likes to see the drama that get's created. XD.
I personally think that Randall could've been a little nicer in his wording, but I also think that such a response out of a few people was a little uncalled for. >.>. But, that is only my opinion and not everyone is going to agree with it.

This was NOT posted the way you did.
He posted this with a very authoritarian, "Obey my will for it is law!" attitude.
He posted as if he was a mod or admin laying down the law for people who are breaking the TOS.
THAT'S why we're all so mad.

I have read what he posted and I've commented on it a couple times already. I got offline soon after that was posted so I didn't get to add my two cents. I know that what he said was harsh and everything and he probably could've done without the P.S. part, but what he said I can't very well take back. All I can do is explain what I talked to him about and what I'm looking to do. We both did agree that we'd like for people to ask first before they go making event threads that are supposed to be directly related to our thread. Personally I'd love for a uniformed event thread to be made every event by the same person, but like I said we're talking about it. He isn't online as often as I am so we're working through details at his speed and I'm really sorry so many people got offended but I can't change the way he worded something he posted.

Well a lot of people do that on threads, though. Technically he is the owner of this thread so basically his word in this thread about this thread on Menewsha is law. >.>; Sorta.

To be fair, I started that last post before you made those comments, Yotsy.
If our votes count at all, I'd rather that you, Yots, be in charge of the thread, if anyone at all.
Not only are you present a LOT more than he is, but you're a lot more fair and diplomatic about things. Last, but most importantly, you talk to each of us as equals, with respect.
Something that was markedly lacking in Randal's post.

Don't worry, I knew that Connie ^^; I wasn't upset or anything that you hadn't read what you didn't know I posted. XD.
At any rate, I still have to talk it over with Randall but I am thinking about taking the job up myself or looking into someone who's on a lot too and active in the event forums when they're around. The person who would be elected for the event threads would kind of be like a promotional directer or something since event threads branched from the DCAA would be mostly to draw in new members and what not. I'm not one hundred percent sure I'm prepared myself to take care of every event thread in the future but I'll do it if we can't find someone else who's reliable and trustworthy ^^;

People do not need permission to make a dragoncave thread on the Event forum. I understand if they make it "Dragon Cave Addicts Anonymous Does Easter" or something like that, but otherwise he has no say in whether or not someone makes a thread, nor do they need his permission.

To my knowledge Randall hadn't meant it to come off as no one was allowed to make a DragonCave event thread. To my knowledge if there was going to be a Dragon Cave Addicts Anonymous event thread that was directly related to his thread, we'd like some say so in the event thread and be aware of it's creation. If someone wants to go making a DragonCave event thread they can, we're not stopping them. o.O
