I'm fairly new here, although as you might be able to tell, I've been here a few days. But the notice at the top of the screen was starting to get on my nerves so I decided to come and introduce myself~!
I found out about this wonderful website off of the GaiaOnline's dream avatar website. I thought I would check it out and I love it a lot, so far~! Everyone that I have met seems very nice and I love the no double-posting rule because it definitely declines the rate of spam. I hope that I can make lots of friends here and I hope that I will continue to love it.
A little about me...my real life name is Miranda, and I am twenty years of age. I live in Colorado and would definitely not mind meeting some people in my area. I am a nanny for a wonderful (although stubborn) two year old boy. Once I get some money together I am going to take online classes to get my child psychology degree and then hopefully travel the world working with the orphanages. I love to write, read, draw, roleplay, and play video games. I'm a big Harry Potter fan as well and spend a lot of my time roleplaying in the realm.
Anyway, sorry for going on and on...I just wanted to introduce myself~!

*waves at Mira* Good to know more about you since I saw you and met you in the exchange but didn't get a chance to talk too much. :) Here's my official "Welcome" to Mene. ^^
I'm sure that the speed of the forums is going to be pretty insane once more people come into the site, but the rules will probably adjust to the situation. :)
Wow that's so neat that you're going into Child Psychology! Psychology is a fascinating subject that I haven't had the pleasure of delving into so much. Traveling is also something I wish I could do more often.
You shouldn't feel sorry for going "on and on" about things. :) It's helpful in getting to know you!
So: Welcome to Mene. ^^ And maybe I'll see you more often in the exchange! It's like the only place I hang out. >.>

@CK; Haha, thank you~! I will be sure to check that out. <3 ^.^
@Alexi; Yay, thanks for the welcome~! I'll definitely have to come and visit you in the exchange thread. Traveling is great but not something that I get to do very often, unfortunately. But, I've always had a passion for children!

I have to say, as the site owner it's a great feeling when you see a user as yourself become so active in such a short period of time. Glad to have you here!

Looks like you got a special post from Insomniac! Grats. :3
The interesting thing about child psychology is that they can't really tell you exactly what they're thinking, except possibly in simple terms. I admire anyone that's willing to tackle that head-on and learn about how a child's mind works! I love taking psychology classes, both the physiological and the theoretical types. Hopefully I can take some in between my Information Systems courses. XD
I'm in Montana by the way, so not -too- far away. XD

@Alexi; Lol...well, Montana isn't toooo far. I have been there a couple times actually on mission trips. My church youth group went to play with the kids. It was a fantastic experience. True, kids can be a hassle...and having a profession with them included can be difficult. But, as I said...I have always had a deep desire to work with them and a deep passion for them as well. They are, after all, our future~! I actually posted in the "Adopting Kids" thread in the debate forum. I want a lot of kids, and I would like to adopt someday.
Psychology is a fascinating subject. I just love psychology and philosophy. I'm definitely a logical type of person...I love mind games and stuff like that, so I guess it's just natural for me to want to lean into those subjects.
