Oh my ;o I absolutely ADORE this series.
I love how it's drawn and the story plot itself x]
Honestly, I would not watch the anime because I think it'd ruin the manga ><
I don't know, I guess it's different for every manga/anime comparison but yeah.
:] The manga rocks, the end.

climax; Yes yes, I agree. :3
heartbeats; I've been reading lots of manga lately, and I'm starting to think that they're a lot better than anime...even though I used to like anime a lot. xDD
Yeah, I guess that's true..
Yup! <333

I love gentleman's alliance much more than Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and Full Moon wo Sagashite, but I like full moon a lot more than Jeanne.
I like the artist, but she scored a hit with me so I actually bought the books instead of just reading them in the bookstore. I am glad she did cause I like her artwork, but story was sos so in comparison to many other series I own. unfortunately for her, my loyalties to artists lie with CLAMP. but she is great also.
I feel so far behind, I want to catch up, where do people find her stuff other than the local bookstore? (online source works well too).
i love the clone versus the real soo much, personal fav of the real though.

Hey. I was wondering if anyone here read The Gentlemen's Alliance-Shinshi Doumie Cross by Arina Tanemura?
I recently read it since I am a huge fan of Arina Tanemura. I think it's a great series but not better than her others. (Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, Full Moon wo Sagashite.) So has anyone else read the series?
Who is your favorite character?
Do you think 11 Volumes was too long for the series?
Does Haine look better in long or short hair? xD.
Discuss. ^^.

Merged your thread Takuto with Suppi's as it discussed the same anime/manga.
Be sure to use the search feature in the future to avoid repeats.

I love Tanemura and her work, so I like this series a lot. I think, as her later series, it really shows the development she's undergone with time. Her art style has gotten more refined and her storytelling is just honed better.

I definitely agree with you Fiarra.
I pretty much cry everytime I compare the art to Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne and The Gentlemen's Alliance/Full Moon wo Sagashite. It is just amazing how much she has grown. (although her coloring now is impeccable compared to Full Moon. Much Kudos Tanemura.) I just finished The Gentlemen's Alliance. I thought the ending was okay, I didn't like it that much. (the same went for Full Moon.)
Now I'm reading her new short story, Mistress Fortune. I think the character designs were a waste for just 3 chapters. T_T. (she could def. do another 10vol. series from this one.)

I'm currently collecting it. Volume 7 came out just this month. I don't want to read the online version because I decided to stay 'pure' to this series and not read any scanlations before they're translated, which is rare with me. I like Ushio the best I think. She's so cool. 0w0*
When you look back at some of Arina Tanemura's older series such as I.O.N. and compare it to The Gentlemen's Alliance you can see the huge difference. She has improved so much.
I also wish that she had made Mistress Ribbon last a bit longer. I liked the plot of that story.
Has anyone here read 'Shojo Eve'? It's a short one-shot by the same artist.

I think if she made Mistress Fortune any longer, she may have died. xD.
She definitely needs a break from the Gentlemen's Alliance.
Her art has improved immensley in all aspects. I can't wait to read her next series. (that is if she is starting another one.) I remember she said in an interview that she had an ultimate storyline for a manga, however Ribon would never approve of it because it may be too violent. (and she refuses to work with another manga company either than Ribon.)

Shinshi Doumei Cross has to my one of my favourite of all time. Ahaha, true about mistress fortune. But it would have been nice if she was able to make it longer. =< Her art improvement is so very obvious once you to back to her first series such as Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and also Full Moon. I'm actually only collecting this series, cause it's the sort of series that you'll want to have in paperback. o 3 o;; I think Maora is one of the more interesting characters. <3 Ushio is too.

Shinshi Doumei Cross stayed as one of my firm favourites throughout its serialization. It is a really riveting series, and in my opinion Tanemura's best yet. It was only the final chapter that bugged me. Not much of an 'ending' as I wanted.

I love Shinshi Doumei Cross. Heck, I love Tanemura-san! Her art is amazing. I have almost all the manga and I've read it online around five times. She's one of my favourite mangakas. I have all of Fullmoon and I've read Kamikaze, although I don't think the manga is still in print in the US since Barnes & Noble and Borders don't have it. I like them both equally. Shinshi Doumei is really addicting, though. It's a tremendous improvement since her first book, Short-Tempered Melancholic.
A tiny bit off topic, did anyone notice she made a separate story on Komaki and Kusume's love? It's really sweet. She's also working on a new series, Sakura Hime Kaden, which you can read online. I really like it so far, although it hasn't been updated for a while.
