I would probably scream like a banshee, have a brief, ten seconds or less panic attack, then yell for my oldest to call 911 while I went outside to beat the holy living crap out of whoever the moron is that decided it would be a good idea to knock on my window and scare me half to death.
Yeah, I do realize I'd probably be the one going to jail. I don't react very well to "scared". Everyone says that when they built my fight or flight reflex, they left out the "flight" part.

Hum, gonna have to go with verifying identity first, making sure I had a phone with me, ready to call the cops, immedately followed by my badass friends. XD I have a friend who makes guns, another who has made and is very good with his own ninja stars and a load more who hunt and are deadly in various ways. I trust them with my life and they are definitely people I would rely on in that situation.

I actually did that about a week ago. :<

Except put my boyfriend on the phone with him telling me to check outside, while I'm sitting against a wall yelling at him that a wuss doesn't do things like that. And the curious ones like that are the first to die in horror films. He... got rather annoyed that I refused to do anything. xDD

I do have a few guns and a strong baseball bat. If anyone tried breaking into my house, it would be the last thing they do! Well okay maybe not, i am not like that. I would just wound them, not kill.

Hmmm, id watch him secretly for awile, let him in, and if he tried to do anything to me kill him... or id just take out my dad's shot gun and open the door and shoot him like crazy

@Crossus: First I would scream so loud the house alarm rings.

If that doesn't work, I would run to the living room and press the alarm, then someone would call to check on me then I would tell them I'm not OK then the call the police then I go hid till the cops come.

In reality, when someone was trying to break into my house before, me and my friend hid in the closet. That was ten years ago, though.

And it turned out to be my brother, and we only got something to hit him with AFTER he got in. Luckily I looked before I swung.

l0l. sht dude. i don't even know. i think that'd have to be an in the moment thing.

though... i think i'd prolly just hide in the closet with some kind of weapon or something until he goes away. either that or i'd try to peek through the window and make sure it's not anybody i know or something. P: i'd also call the police.
