"Thanks," Yosuke nodded at the hostess and sat down on the stool. "A glass of water would be good," he said to the man behind the counter. "I had to ride my bike uphill earlier today to get here."

Cindy sighs looking at her watch, she leaves a tip at the table then goes to the counter to pay for her coffee and muffin. She looks back at the cafe smiling and exits through the door.

((Time for bed, night 'til tomorrow afternoon))

He shook his head. "You definitely need a water then." He got a tall glass out, filled it with ice and poured water into the glass, handing it to the customer in front of him. "Take it easy, all right?" He then turned towards the voice from the kitchen. "Yeah I got it, man. Don't worry," he said to Richard. He grabbed a Ginger beer from the fridge at the bar, along with vanilla bean ice cream, milk, and green tea mix. Having mixed in the ingredients for the bubble tea, he then scooped some ice cream into a tall glass and poured the soda over it. He started to hand it toward Isabella. Dev hadn't asked what happened in the kitchen earlier, but he figured she'd tell him when she wanted to.

She shook her head. "Ugh, are you serious?" She turned towards the table with the couple over there. Already, she hated that guy - it was pretty easy to tell. She took the drinks onto a tray and headed back to the table. "One green bubble tea and a ginger float. Your order will be up shortly," she said, her tone lacking any inflection. She hid her annoyance pretty well for the moment.

"Thanks, dude. I'm pretty parched." Yosuke said as he took a gulp of water from the glass. "This place just opened up, right? How's the work here?"

Devlin looked up at the ceiling tiles, thinking for a bit. "It's pretty okay here, I guess. We get air conditioning, which is pretty much a blessing considering the summer heat outside. The pay's not too bad. Our boss usually lets us take whatever food is left over that can't be sold anymore at the end of the day. At least, she hasn't complained about it yet, that I know of. Generally it's not too bad working here. You get the occasional rowdies and whatnot, but Richard and I can stave them off for the most part, if anything gets too bad. But we also get a lot of students studying in here. This *is* a cafe, after all," he explained.

"I see. That doesn't sound too bad," Yosuke said taking another gulp of water. "Are you guys still looking for people?"

"I think so. But if you want a job, you'll have to talk to our boss. She's around here somewhere..." he replied, looking around for the familiar face.

Richard grabbed some of the chicken from the freezer and cut a few pieces from it. He then grabbed a large carrot and some small potatoes from the refrigerator. He cut the carrot up a few diagonal pieces and the potatoes into nice little wedges. Richard then placed the food into a small oven proof glass pan and placed it in the oven. He poured some water into the small container and turned the oven on after closing the door to it. Okay in about 20 minutes it aught to be done, He said looking at the clock in the kitchen.

Richard then got started on the garden salad. He went to the refrigerator and grabbed some lettuce, onion, cherry tomatoes and half of a cucumber. He washed the food and pealed the onion. He then wiped the cutting counter with a wet rag, got a new knife and cut up the onion and cucumber. His eyes didn't water as he was used to this by now. He then took took a few pieces of lettuce and chopped them so they could fit in the dish. He placed the lettuce, some of the onion and cucumber, and a few cherry tomatoes into the dish. As a last touch, at the customers request, he added a drizzle of his homemade ranch to the salad. Garden Salad Richard style

Richard looked at the clock, Just in time for the chicken! He went to the oven and took out the pan. (wearing oven mitts of course) He placed the pan onto the counter and took out a clean plate from the rack. He then grabbed a clean tong and placed the food onto the plate in a lovely pattern. He then took a few of the cherry tomatoes he had left over and cut them into small pieces. He grabbed a few sprigs of fresh basil from the fridge and added that onto the plate with some of the leftover gravy. Roast Chicken Richard style

Finished with the food he rang the bell and called out, "Chicken and Salad coming right up!"

She heard Richard calling out the order. Since Alex wasn't around, Isabella had to get back to that table...again. "Oy," was all she said. She got a larger tray for the two foods and brought it over to the couple's table, smiling only for the girl there who seemed to be nicer than her counterpart.

"A garden salad and roast chicken. Now, will you require anything else?" she asked before leaving.

"Oh, okay." Yosuke proceeded to look through the menu. "Man, I don't know what to order. Is the roast chicken good?"

"I think so. Usually whatever Richard cooks is pretty great. He's as good with gourmet food as I am with drinks," he replied.

Alex walks back out to the front of the cafe and spots a cutie sitting in front of Devlin. She walks over and leans on the counter"hey there I'm Alex I hope Devlin hasn't been tell you any lies."she said with a giggle and a smile

Devlin eyed Alex weirdly and motioned towards their guest. "Don't you see the kid's tired and parched?" he asked, emphasizing on the word, "kid." He turned. "I'm gonna go on my break. There's ready-made drinks in the fridge if you need any," he added.

"I see that and ok then I don't have to have Richard do your job."she replied with a smile

Sorin looked to Selene and sighed, "You don't talk much do you?"

Selene fidgeted and muttered something.

"Excuse me?"

"I-I didn't r-realize that I-I was a-allowed to s-speak....." Selene whispered, practically in tears.

Sorin rolled his eyes and sighed then went back to ignoring her.

Selene sunk in her seat, trying to get as far away from him as possible while trying not to cry.

Sorin growled, "Bugger..... I'm sorry alright!"

Selene jumped and hid her face as she began sobbing loudly.

Sorin sighed heavily and got up. He slid into the booth next to her and put his arm around her.

"Hey..... Hey..... I'm sorry..... I'm not used to people..... Or crying girls....."

Selene looked up at him shyly, fearfully, "I-Its OK.... I-I know I-I'm just a b-burden....."

"Now who calls you that?"

"M-My Ex-boyfriend Kenji...."

"Well he's wrong..... You aren't a burden. I'm just not good with people that's all...."

Selene offered him a shy, sad smile. Sorin nodded.

"Now that that's taken care of, I'm Sorin Sonnen."

"S-Selene T-Tsukino....."

"...Whatever," Yosuke said rolling his eyes. "Anyways, I'll have a roasted chicken."

"ok one Roasted chicken coming up."She said before making her way over to serving window and yelling in"one roasted Chicken."

Richard finished the chicken and called out to Alex, "One roasted chicken ready for takeoff!" He then went to the back and washed his hands. At the moment it seemed like no one was asking for food so he decided to got to the front counter and people watch. Richard did this from time to time as he rather liked being a busybody without being a meddler, at least not too much of one.

Cookie frowns at the couple in the dining room. "That doesn't look healthy," she murmurs as she steps out of the kitchen and begins to check on the customers, smiling and asking if everything is all right. Gotta make sure everyone's happy after all. Nobody wants a girl crying in their cafe.

"Is everything all right here?" She asks Sorin and Selene.

Sorin glared at the girl, "We don't require your services. You can leave now."

Selene was still whimpering a bit, but she seemed to have calmed down. She wasn't making eye contact with anyone.

Sorin turned back to Selene, "You OK?"

Selene gave him a weak nod.

"You certainly won't be receiving my services when you're out on the sidewalk either," she says standing up straight and crossing her arms. She doesn't need pissy nasty customers that make people cry and treat the staff like shit in her cafe.

Richard watched what was ensuing at the table with the supposed couple. His boss, Cookie had gone over there to see if things were fine. To him it just seemed like a rather interesting case of an extremely shy yet good tempered girl be pushed into something by a rather cranky boy. As long as the boy didn't make any sudden moves Richard would stay put. But if things got unnecessary, he would help Cookie by moving the boy outside. The girl could stay as Richard saw. She wasn't doing anything bad.

Alex picked up the Roasted chicken and walked back to Yosuke"heres your roasted Chicken if you need anything else just tell me ok"she said with a smile. She noticed Richard came out of the kitchen to do his favorite past time people watching. She walked up be hind him and poked him "Who are you watching this time."she whispered

Sorin snorted, not even caring weather or not he was kicked out of this dive.

"So.... I haven't seen you around campus or don't you go to Cambridge University?"

"I-I just g-graduated Cambridge S-School for G-Girls...."

".....Oh! I remember you! You were the valedictorian this year right? Yeah. You were so shy that you refused to give the speech you so you had your crazy friend do it."

"S-She's not c-crazy! H-Her parents s-separated her f-from her brother a-and she w-wanted t-to go t-to his school i-instead."

"She gave out every teachers' perverse secrets in public and uncovered the fact that the school board had been embezzling money. They expelled her before they were shut down. Did she ever make it to her brother's school?"

"V-Victoria enrolled a-as Vincent t-to be with h-her brother, Victor, a-at Cambridge S-School for B-Boys."

"Really now? You know, I graduated there as valedictorian....."

"R-Really?"

"Yeah. So you're planning to go to Cambridge Uni? What are you going to major in?"

"A-Art and E-English."

"I'm majoring in business and marketing."

"Hey," Richard excalimed quietly, "No prodding the one who makes the food. I could poison the leftovers," He grinned devilishly. He then nodded his head towards the couple. "See that couple at that table? Well, it's kind of like a case of good girl, bad boy. I wonder what Cookie might do. She seems worried about those two."
