I havn't seen any threads about Trigun yet, so I decided to start my own.
My best friend introduced me to the series about three years ago, we spent spring break at his place watching anime, it was cool. Trigun was the one that really stuck with me from that week. I started reading the Manga as well and I recently baught the dvd collection.
Trigun is one of those series that sticks with you, no matter how many times you see it or read the books it's always intresting, at least to me. It's also very cool that in the anime version the black cat is in every episode.
Has any one else seen it? Thought and Opinions o nthe series, music, charactors?

Trigun was the second or third series I watched in its entirety in the original Japanese and it's still one of my favorites. Vash is really silly but also totally hardcore at the same time.
Nekosama(the black cat) is one of my favorite parts of that series. Not only is he in every episode of the anime, but he also appears in the manga. I've been on a mini-quest to collect as much Nekosama merch as I can. So far that means I have: backpack, plushie, pillow, bobblehead, keychain, cd case, pin, tshirt x 2.

It is one of those one of a kind anime series.
I can never get bored of Trigun (and Cowboy Bepop.) They are close to the top of the list. I love Vash.

I've always liked the 90's anime.
Cowboy Bebop was the first favorite, and I had always been meaning to watch Trigun.
A friend of mine had watched it and told me how great it was, so I decided it would be next on my list of "Anime to Watch".
I was hooked five minutes into the first episode. XD
I went on a Trigun-watching spree/craze, and probably finished the whole series in a little over a week. (Would have been shorter, but I also game a lot with my online friend. Hehe.)
It was sad when I got to the part when SPOILER IN WHITE. - Wolfwood dies. - SPOILER IS DONE.
I kept thinking he would suddenly be back in the next episode. I seriously thought that he only got injured and not......well.....
But I adored the ending, I'm glad that they kind of all became one happy family. :O

Its animated.
I think Trigun could possibly work as live action though, unlike Dragon Ball.. XD

I'm glad they're animating it.
I wonder if they'll have the original voice actors.....
And nooooo way do I think Draco could be Vash.
Knives? Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe, but even I think that's stretching it.

In the last movei there is a scene with Draco looking totolly manical and I looked at and thought my god he looks just like KNIVES.
I didn;t think much more about it till I saw an interveiw pic take of him and he was la happy and smiling and his hair was yellow blond and he looked like Vash.
I really think he is about the only actor that could pull it off. Remember Vash and Knives are mirror twins so either you have to have on actor play both parts or get Identical twins to do it amd as much as I like the boys that played the wesley twins they aren;t pretty enough to be Vash or Knives.

Well.....Yah. I guess I can kind of see it now.
I just can't see him as Vash. He just doesn't seem like the type who could pull off kooky/crazy/funny AND serious.
But, who knows.
Maybe they'll have no-name actors to do a live-action Trigun.
But I hope they have the original voice actors for the animated one. It would have such a lovely sense of nostalgia.

I love Vash he is so quirky so I enjoy roleplaying Meryl ( as if you couldn;t tell form my avvie) I really like to think of them getting together after everythng is settled. If you like Jonny you can get him as a friend on facebook. He does the voice of Leloche on Code Geasse too.
