This was a gorgeous anime but... it scarred my mind in a variety of ways, so I'm kind of iffy on the manga.

If you want to find a fantastic AMV based on it look up Aqua Sky- Lurid Enchantment. The song fits the series perfectly.

I own the anime, manga, and soundtrack. The anime had such lovely animation. The soundtrack was so pretty and so dark and alluring! And the manga was drawn so nicely... plus it was different from the anime!! I only wish it could have been longer!

I haven't read the manga in a long time, but I did see the anime when it came on TV once. That was excellent.

This series definitely gave me a migraine! Too many colors! Ahh! It drove me nuts. I couldn't get into it. There were too many distracting qualities and I couldn't follow the storyline. Maybe I'll try again sometime but I'd rather not get another migraine. x) There is a manga form of it, isn't there?

I agree Le Portrait de Petite Cossette is both a great manga and anime series. Although it's kinda a pity that in the manga Eiri didn't get to stay with Cossette.

Spoiler: I thought Eiri would be a ghost at the end of the manga and be with Cossette... maybe I missed something.
