Anyone watch Umineko no naku koro ni?

It is basically a spin off of Higurashi, but it is really different, and the plot line is amazing <3 Of course anything my 07th Expansion is pretty good.

Every Thursday night, I look all over for the just newly released episodes fresh from Japan <3 The series is moving along well~

Plot Summary: Umineko no Naku Koro ni takes place in the year 1986, during the time frame of October 4 and October 5 on a secluded island named Rokkenjima (六軒島, Rokkenjima). The head of a wealthy family named Kinzo Ushiromiya, who lives on and owns Rokkenjima, is near death, and eight of his family members arrive on the island to discuss how Kinzo's assets will be divided once he is dead. Also on the island are three family members who live there, five of Kinzo's servants, and his personal physician. After the eight family members arrive, a typhoon traps them on the island and shortly after people start to get mysteriously murdered.

I'm still watching Higurashi at the moment.
Could I start watching this without finishing Higurashi? Judging by the summary, I'd say yes, but I just wanna make sure.
I have a terrible habit of starting anime and never finishing it. .__.

I never really watched Higurashi....
But Umineko was by far my favorite anime.

But I digress. I've only seen the first few episodes of the anime, but the VNs are AMAZING(ly addicting)!! <33

I also love Kyrie & Rudolf together.

Though choosing a favorite character in Umineko is not fair at ALL, because I absolutely love all of the characters EXCEPT for Eva.
Can't freaking stand her. -o-;;

Right now, I'm on the 9th episode. I'm still waiting for SmallBombs to upload 10.
The show is pretty interesting. It's creepy, but not as gory as Higurashi.
