I am in need of a new anime to watch :) suggestions would be nice

I would say Vampire Hunter D.

Any general ideas? Like magical girl/violent/ect?

Um I have a few. Vampire hunter d was a good one. My personal faves are Samurai champloo, Trinity Blood, Trigun, Lucky Star, I My Me: Strawberry eggs, and a few others (but I can't think of anymore on the fly).

It really depends on what kind of stuff you like, because there's all sorts of anime in different genres. If you like action, Naruto or Bleach might be up your alley. If you like more girly stories you might want to watch Skip Beat or Shuugo Chara. It really all depends. But if you want to test some out, you can go to Crunchyroll and have some streamed for you to watch. They have Shuugo Chara and Skip Beat. It's a free, legal site. Anime News Network and Funimation also stream anime. There's just so much of it, it really depends on what you like. You can find action, drama, romance, vampires, kitties, frogs, baseball, pirates. It's endless!

- Death Note
- Vampire Knight
- Bleach
etc.

If you want something cute and funny try, Lovely Complex or Toradora. If your looking for a bit of violence then try Elfen Lied, I guess Kuroshitsuji is a little violent, but very good. Read some descriptions of random animes and see what you like the sound of.

Samurai Champloo and Trigun wasn't that interesting to me.
Trinity Blood was also suggested by my cousin so I started on it but never finished.
I will look into Lucky Star and I My Me: Strawberry Eggs sounds familiar.

I suggest Code Geass, Death Note, Trigun, Bleach, Gundam Wing, Vampire Hunter D, DNAngel, Beyblade, Trinty Blood, Blood+, Angel Sanctuary, Petshop of Horrors, FLCL, Gravitation, Descendants of Darkness, Kaleido Star, Ouran High School Host Club, and there is probably more but I think there has to be atleast one in there you haven't seen yet.

Oh! I wanted to add... There's a more recent one called RomeoXJuliet I haven't seen it yet but I have great interest in watching it soon... If It wasn't 4:30 in the morning and I Didn't need SOME Sleep I'd probably get on youtube.com and check the stash! XD
