Has anybody seen the anime "Princess Princess"?

I really liked it, but couldnt help wishing for the storyline to take a turn for the yaoi direction, which it didnt lol. But i still thought it was really good. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

You know what--I haven't seen it. To be honest I'm afraid to. The character designs scare me a lot. I've always preferred manga over the animes anyhow. There are a few exceptions here and there, but I really do prefer the manga. :) Maybe If I see Princess Princess at a convention discount table, I'll grab it. I did like the series. I thought it was humorous. I'm sure you noticed on the covers of the manga that Miss Tsuda made some as if they were girls dressing as boys? Love it, love it, love it. :D

And-by-the-way-I-totally-agree-with-you-on-the-yaoi-thing. ;)

Who would you slash though? I mean... It's a trio.

I love Princess Princess!!! Especially Shihoudani, he's the best. We had anime club at the library this week and I went to the computer and wrote 'Yuujirou Shihoudani is hot'. They sell the anime at suncoast in our mall, but I like the manga better^^ It's just cooler. Like the scene where Yuu-chan stuck up the finger at those men who thought they were guys. Plus the kissing scene was better in the manga. But I love the Anime's OP^^

Now that I think about it, I made Yuu-chan a fan club on dA and haven't checked it in a week... I'll do that now

@TenshiInochi: Yuujirou is my favourite too! I was praying for him and Tooru to get together! I really liked Sakamoto's family, i just thought they were really funny, especially when Yuujirou and Tooru were trying to guess their genders, ages and roles.

Did you know a live action drama was made of it? It's called 'Princess Princess D', the storyline has absolutely nothing to do with the anime/manga storyline, its completely made up, and its a boys love drama. But i have got to admit its actully really funny.

@TheNena: I havn't got around to reading the manga yet it's on my 'to do' list, or rather 'to read' list, everyone says its better than the anime, so i just have to read it at some point. I'd slah Yuujirou and Tooru they always blush in each others presence and they dont have girlfriends and they would just be so cute together! I did read a Doujinshi where the trio was kept in tact if you know what i mean ;) so im sure slashing all 3 could work too haha.

Why yes... yes, I do... ;o

AUH. Do it. Go on amazon right now and buy the cheapest ones! You'll save money that way anyhow. It's worth it. It's cute and makes you smile! Also, I sort of wonder about the differences between the anime and the manga. Not having seen them both...

They do stuff like that sometimes. For instance, with Revolutionary Girl Utena, they did that. Every extension of that series was different! From the Manga to the Animanga to the Anime, to the OVA.

I actually did a roleplay once where we slashed Yuuji and Tooru. So good choice. I was Yuuji. :O It was fun. I got to act like an old hat. Lol

I haven't seen the Anime, but I've read all of the Manga. I think that was the first thing I borrowed from my best friend, who is now my girlfriend. I was so excited and really like it - now I get to borrow it whenever I want! Score. I really like the Manga and personally I think the art in the Anime is drastically reduced but I didn't get through one episode so, maybe I should try again.

I've only read the manga and haven't seen the anime. I think it's pretty borderline yaoi xD The mangaka was a doujinshi artist that drew a lot of yaoi, from what I heard from my classmate, but in Princess Princess she only made hints without actually making it BL, which I appreciate...since I don't think her characters suit my liking for yaoi characters >__>;

Seeing Princess Princess reminds me of Train Train, drawn by her friend and was released during similar dates because they had an agreement of some sort to name their new manga with similar names and even had the characters from the other's to appear in each of their volumes xD

I remember there was later on a sequal for it, but it sort of bored me so I never got into it like I did with the original Princess Princess...

@Fading Existence: I heard about the sequal and i read what it was about but it just didnt interest me much. I don't think that would be something id read.

I absolutely loved Princess Princess, and think it totally deserves to be rereleased with a dub. It's such a cute story, and there was totally something going on between Toru and Yuujiro. ;) Toru just doesn't know it yet, haha.

As for the manga, I never read it. I wasn't too keen on the preview they showed as an extra on the DVDs, so I didn't look into it.

I love Princess Princess! My friend had the DVDs but it was only in japanese so we had to read subtitles.

It's been a while since I last saw it, though. I want to start watching it again.

I LOVE Mikoto! And that crazy costume design guy.
