Has anyone read the Berserk manga? I love Gutsu! I haven't read the entire series but I'm 3/4 way through the series. Comments?:vicky:

I've read it all the way up to the 33rd volume, and I think it's awesome. I can't wait for the next volume to come out, though sadly the mangaka seems to only release one volume per year on average. :sweat:

Not really a fan of Guts, he annoys me with his attitude (though he's slowly changing), I prefer that guy with the slanted eyes using the wind spirits/elves/whatever they're called in English. And some of the monsters. I read them in Chinese so a lot of terms I'm unfamiliar with in English...I rather like the 'hunter' from Griffith's army, the guy with the blank eyes and an eyed bow.

I think the mangaka is really awesome with the plot, the plot is so unpredictable! It keeps you on the edge wondering what's going to happen next. I'm so curious as to how Guts is ever going to defeat the five 'Hands of God', or even some of the Monsters. Hell, some of them can ran through a long row of brick buildings with ease, as well as having diamond-hard skin. How is Guts going to match up with that? I don't see him able to defeat them unless he turns into a monster himself...either by making a deal with the Hands of God (not likely, since he hates their guts), or by that cursed armor he's wearing...I hope he doesn't turn into something like the Skull rider, that'd be pretty weird for a main character, running around like some undead monster...

Been rereading the series over and over and I never tire of it. Can't wait for the 34th volume!

I didn't read the manga, but I watched most of the Anime. Although, Blockbuster lacked on the choices for volumes. It is a great series. The anime was created old school, painted by hand...a classic!

I've never read the manga, but I think I probably should after that cliff-hanger of an ending to the anime. *shakefiiist* But it was very good and I really enjoyed all of the characters. ^^

I never did get to finish the ANime, the box set is coming out soon..I might buy it.. O_O it has a cliff hanger ending?! I HATE THOSE! I was so p.o.ed with Inu Yasha's anime ending...

I highly recommend it! Even with it's "OMG, THAT'S ALL THERE IS?!?!" ending, it was a great anime. It really made me want to read the manga. But there's so much of it! ;.;.; So much catching up to do...

I hope I'm not spoiling anything by saying that it has an abrupt ending... ^^;;; Sorry if I have!

I have never read the manga, but I own the first volume. I have not watched it yet, though. Which is kind of funny since I have had for 6 years. It doesn't really look like an anime I will like. I just bought it because it was only $5. I think I might sell it for the same price on ebay.
