Sooo. I've been enrolled to take part in the National Novel Writing Month "challenge" to right 50,000 words by the end of november.. It'll be my first year taking it on, and I am
sooooooo unbelievably excited for it.
(Yes, I noticed the other NaNoWriMo thread. This isn't copying thatttt.)
Anywhoo. After watching Watchmen (giggle) for the very first time today, I have been swayed toward writing something about a superhero.. A good friend of mine and I have been brainstorming for a while now (he's going to serve as my muse builder and somewhat editor), and we're kind of stuck.. We've already decided on a few things for our dear heroine, anddd.. I guess here'll be a (VERY) brief description of her..
Quote:
Name: Maria Alvarez
Age: 22
Race: Hispanic (Mexican)
Occupation: Retail
Supah Powah: Electrokinesis

And blah blah blah, whatever, not important. She's basically a.. smartass. She has a sense of humor, and she's very stubborn. She doesn't really get along with people very well.
Basically, the plotline will be.. She's around, she gets found somehow by a group of other supers, they go through some crazy crap, and they try to save the world.. from.. DUN DUN DUN, 2012 :B
Soo, to keep you from having to read anymore, here's my/our problem: how does she get found by the other supers? I was thinking she would make some sort of scene and get found that way, but that's where we got stuck.. It seems very generic, X-Men-y. We want something DIFFERENT..
So, uh. Halp? We need some assistance in how she should be found. Anything would be looooooved!
