I wish I could have taken Japanese in school but the only language that was offered was Spanish. I wasn't interested and figured it would be too hard so I took more art classes. :p
I've been struggling to teach my self the language on and off for the past several years.
She didn't really live there persay...she'd go there on maybe....2 week long business trips over there every once in a while...she maybe went there like...3 times.

lol the only reason I can take Japanese now is because I'm in college :P it wasn't offered at my high school...I would have loved it if it had been though.

I own a few things in Japanese. :3
I have two volumes of Keroro Gunso (Sgt. Frog) and about eight of PetShop of Horrors. (Both of which I own in English already). I also have two art books. "Color Walk 1" for One Piece and "Maboroshi no Hana yoi no Tsuki" for PetShop of Horrors. I sure can't read Japanese, but I love looking at them.

The Japanese student I hosted gave me the first volume of One Piece in Japanese. Apparently, One Piece is pretty big over there.

Oh well non the less at least they can get them direct from the source per say :) Better than hunting them down here in the states that's for sure.

I also own some art books for Fruits Basket that I had ordered online last year. Most of the information in one is the same material used for the Cat fan book. The other consist of the colored images dipicted in each chapter of the manga. Which in the us versio are all in black and white.

Oh right almost forgot I also have the episode guide to Magic Knight Rayearth. Downside was that when I got it..it was the day before I had beten the Sega Saturn video game. So esentally I had spoiled the ending for myself my looking through whole book :/

I scan manga's for my online manga group; so I actually have several yaoi that are still in japanese. :) I just don't remember the names off the top of my head.

I have some doujinshi that I've bought at conventions, but no straight up manga in Japanese. I've just started learning Japanese this year and I can already pick out some phrases and kanji. <3 So I could buy some manga to use to study. ;D

I own three Naruto yaoi doujinshi, one that I can not name off the top of my head, and today I went to the thrift store and bought the first manga of "my neighbor totoro".
