Ehm, I was wondering, what is the point of the gold cap per game?
If I'm not mistaken, it's 50g max per game except the Fangirls one, which is 100g.
I mean, a majority of people end up having to purposely lose once they reach a certain point simply because they can't earn any more gold beyond that point for that game. It ends up being kind of tedious, having to start over again and again.
It seems to me that it would be a lot simpler to be able to continue a game and earn gold based on that score, instead of having to max out after a certain point.
Basically, I was wondering why it is that this cap is there, since there's already a 500g daily cap and the only difference between having it and not having it would be that we wouldn't have to start over after reaching that certain point. :sweat:
Hopefully that was articulated well enough to understand...
Thank you in advance.

I totally misunderstood when I first answered this, so I'm editing my post to re-answer it in a way that makes sense x3 I'm not actually sure why, I guess perhaps to stop people from trying to use any programs that might help them earn that much at once? I don't know if they even could for the games on here, and just because someone does well doesn't mean that they're going to, but... maybe they just think it would make it too easy. Everything on here is focusing things more on the community forum aspect: they want people posting more so than playing games. So if they made it that you could play the game maybe just twice and get the maximum five hundred gold allowed, it would be too easy. This is their way of sort of evening out the playing field so to speak, so people that are bad at the games are playing them just as often as people /good/ at the games.
If people are only focusing on games for the gold and don't want the high score that they could get if they continued, I think that's just stupid, personally. Who wouldn't want a high score?

Hmm...I dont actually know in this case. I am rather curious to know the answer to this as well. I mean I totally understand the reason behind the daily gold cap (and I'm sure if you where here when the games first came out you understand as well. I was not here then but I fully understand looking at it how it would effect the economy yikes...totally bad). Anyways, that aside, I really dont see the point in the game cap....taking game cap away would encourage users to go for that high score.

It's just the way the previous coder coded it. Nothing more than that. We would prefer it if you could hit your 500 in just one game of Tetris say, if that was your preference, and hopefully it will get recoded to work that way at some point, but like anything else it's all down to having the time to do it :yes:

Coolness, even knowing things are in the thought process makes me say yeah, even if it may be a long while xP
For me this was more just a curiousity thing. I am truely fine with the way things are now, I'll still earn my goldies either way. xP

@portrait in black;
Well, you don't really get anything apart from a high score when you get a high score. xD
The duration of playing after reaching the point could be spent on another game where it'll earn you something. And I mean, I don't think they'd make and add two new games if they discouraged gaming.
@cora;
Ah, yeah, I was there. xD
It was bad. >>;

Ohh, alright, I see.
Is it, per chance, on the to-do list to remove the cap?

Oh, I'm not saying they don't like gaming or that they're discouraging people from doing it, since it wouldn't exist at all then I imagine. I just meant they don't want people ONLY playing games and not posting on the forums at all. So making games a bit more tedious for people sort of makes sure that, if they want to customize their avatars, after earning the five hundred gold limit they go posting on the forum. (Though they may not always do that, buuut yeah.)
But apparently it's nothing specific like that ;P Just the way things ended up, haha.

I kind of wish you can get the gold from games a lot faster. It take me most of the day to get 500. I get kind of tired to post afterward.

If I'm going to play th games I'll play Attack of the Fangirls, and just leave it open in another window and go back to it as I remember. It's easy to get to your 500 by doing it that way. I tend to get 55 per game for that one, sometimes 65 if I get a lucky break, occasionally 100 if I'm really lucky.
Even if your PC freezes up on the high levels, it's still a good game to play as you set the level up and them go do something else while it's running :yes:

I usually do that while playing Harbor Fishing ^^;; Harbor Fishing I find is a REALLY quick way to get a decent amount of gold each game, since the games aren't too long. So then in between games of that, I continue my Attack of the Fangirls game, and usually it helps a fair bit.

I do this too sometimes. I play tetris in between and between the two I earn my goldies in no time at all ^>^

Whoa. I didn't even know there was this limit. Now I feel INCREDIBLY stupid because I kept trying to beat my score of getting 50g on tetris and now I know why I couldn't.
