I have a question!
I watched AVATAR very closely and yet I could never figure this out. This might sound weird but, how many toes does a native Na'vi have!? :shock:
Now before you say, "Oh well that's easy. They have five toes," I wanna just make sure. Yes, Jake Sully had five toes. I saw that. But he also had five fingers. The NATIVE Na'vi race only had 4 fingers. But I was never able to clearly see how many toes a NATIVE Na'vi had. Maybe they DO have 5 toes. But maybe they have only 4, like their fingers.
I really wanna do AVATAR fan art, but I refuse to start until I know for sure how many toes a Na'vi has.
If you do know for certain how many toes they have PLEASE let me know. And if you can, provide a picture for reference. I'm dying to know!!!:O

You know, I never really paid much attention to that...I think your best bet(if you wanted to see the movie again) is watch for when they are flying, or jumping around on the trees. Though I think that they might have 5 toes.

Looks like four to me.

It is a strange question isn't it. I'm told fairly often that I always ask questions that people don't really hear that often. *Shrug*
But yea! I watched the movie soooo closely but I could never tell how many toes they have! I mean, 4 toes would make sense what with their having 4 fingers and all. But I refuse to draw until I know for sure! Hmph!

They have four finger and four toes. The avatars have five digits for both hands and feet, but the Na'vi have only four.

Another thing, if you notice, is when you look at Grace's avatar (which we can assume is one of the earliest grown), she has a mostly human nose. Jake's avatar has a Na'vi nose.

Didn't really look...I went to the 3-D one and was soo intrigued by the whole thing. Was a lot to take in and was a good movie. Guess i would have to re-watch it and look. If I remember.

The Na'vi have four toes on each foot. In the Activist Survival Guide is it noted that in early Na'vi history they didn't have any words for numbers higher then 16, which is the sum of their fingers and toes. 4+4+4+4 = 16

They do have four toes on each foot...I saw the movie a couple days ago and I'm fairly sure I saw four toes...plus I guess those pictures of the figurines prove it. :)

Now I have a question though. If Jake Sully had babies with Naytiri how many fingers and toes would they have? Would they be deformed?

They're not the same specie. Chances are inter-breeding wouldn't work. Not all of the chromosomes would match up properly and there for the embryo would never be created.
