S'not my home soil anyhow. XD True, I'm moving to Canada, but I'm US born and raised. Not that I have much patriotism for either. >> Though Crys did make me learn O Canada over the summer, for the heck of it. XD
There's no TV in my dorm room. Even if I had one, there's no cable to hook it up to, and since my internet bandwidth is limited to 750 megs per day, I can't stream tv shows and such as a substitute. So I've learned to get along without it. xD;

I do enjoy singing O Canada much more than my own national anthem, though. Which I can't even sing by memory. xD
Cutting TV distractions out is nice, and I think that's the point of them not having cable in the dorms, but sometimes it's nice to have a tv on as background noise. But nowadays, Crys and I stay on webcam whenever I'm not in class or working, so that keeps my attention. <3 But I'm pretty good at time management, for getting all my work done and making it through each semester so far. *nodnod*
