I'd say AT LEAST 600g for a Bust, if not 1k~
Maybe even more ;P
-bad at pricing-
I really do adore this though~ <3
HOWEVER I still like the style you drew me in best 'cause it's new and reminds me of Tim Burton ;) <3

Well, I would not price anything yet. I would say between 500 to 600 gold for now. Best to start small and work your way up as you get bigger.

Critique::

1. You should watch your line art. It is simple but you place heavier lines were it did not need to be... Especially when you are coloring the image. It is best to use thinner to thicker lines with the eyes to give depth. The lips should not be connected like that... If you are going to do add shadow or a thicker line on the lower lip to give a better depth... But not too thicker. I suggest looking at line art work on how to use shadow and thicker lines.

2. Coloring is not really good... too flat and even if you are going flat, it has a lot of white showing through. To keep a flat look, you need to really color over and over again. Also, the crown started to have some shading. If you are going to do that without using different colors for the crown, then I suggest shade the rest of the character. It is best to keep one consistent look. Honestly the coloring looks rushed.

Over all it is a good start but don't rush your art... It makes it look sloppy.

I'll say something in the defense of the color - I know his art supplies and I know he does not have the best colored pencils, that is why the coloring is a bit spotty, so to speak. That is the best coloring he can do until he can get better coloring equipment. :3
And I personally like the white showing through with this piece in some areas - it brings highlights to the hair and such~

However, I do agree with the line-art bit to a degree. However, it's not bad for a first time drawing this style :3

Also - in regards to shading, it is shaded. On my computer, at least, I can see where he shaded her skin, her hair, and her eyes :3
It's simply not as apparent as the crown because it's more subtle - perhaps because of the colors that were available to him. As I said, supplied are limited and are not the greatest in regards to coloring at the moment.

I would not consider the first to be an excuse. I know many artist with cheap color pencils who took the time to do wonders with them. It is mostly about time and usage. More so about practice. Some of the greatest artist at one time used cheap, inexpensive art material. I would not consider that an excuse... You can use to cheap material and still make it look good. Just need to be patient and take your time. Understand the material you are using.

Yes, I can see slight shading but it is not that dark or dark enough to really be clear. It is still very flat. The flat look is best with markers or using a computer program (you can get free ones online easily)... Sometimes colored pencils is best for shading. Of course it depends on your preference.

I would say the best way to get good, cheap material is by having coupons and finding sales, or looking online. Still I would not hold that as an excuse, just work with them better. More like practice.

I understand where you are coming from. However I have had bad experiences with the type he is using and have never been able to get them to work right. For me they have always been brittle and don't like to transfer the color to the paper. However, that is simply my experience that I am going by. Perhaps other artists can get Rose-art pencils to work, I personally cannot. I myself prefer Crayola (which is the ONLY cheap brand I like) or Prisma Color (which is an expensive brand I like)- they are softer, they shade well, and they personally work better for me.

So I do understand where you are coming from, I simply just do not agree that all supplies can be made do with because sometimes they just cannot be.

As for the shading - like I mentioned, he has limited colors - very limited. Sometimes packs of the colored pencils don't offer a wide variety of shading capabilities for certain colors - especially the packs of 12. Had he had more color options, I'm sure he would have shaded properly. But given the circumstances, it does not seem he was able to.

And if I am wrong, then he shall contradict me when he gets back from moving. However, that will not be until May, so we shall have to wait and see until then. I think with time and better supplies, his shading will improve.

And I do know he took his time on this and worked really hard - I was talking to him while he was doing it~
However, I can see how you would think it is rushed - and perhaps at the end it was a bit rushed in order to get it to her in time for her birthday. But, given his supplies and this being his first time ever drawing in this style, I think it turned out marvelously.

However, each to their own opinion. I am simply trying to explain some things in his absence.
