As the sun rose on the Mediterrainian sea shore, smoke could be seen from miles away from the freshly raided town as a ship built out of sturdy black ash wood sailed away with the wind filling it's black, learthery sails. It was a ship like none other,The Devil's Eye.On the front bow of the ship stood it's proud, fierce captin,Lily Selestia. For being an old pirate ship,it aged better than any fine wine around and it's condition was almost near perfect.Lily made sure this ship would last through more than five other captins after she passed, but that would be years away from now when her life would end. That will be saved for a different time for now, today marked her twenty-third birthday and her one hundredth raid since her rein of terror started. She looked down at a sapphire ring she had abtained in this recent raid,it was one of the few things she picked out for herself before she let the rest of the crew members take their share. This town was easy since most of the Royal Navy was out West more, cleaning up after her last raid.It was clear now that not a soul that wasn't on this ship knew that the captin of the Devil's Eye was a woman, let alone a young woman. Her determination was what made her one of the few feared pirates in the pirate world. After they sailed out to sea,she turned and headed down to her private quarters to plan out the next raid.Getting complimants and praise from her crew members about how well this raid went as she walked by them.

"I'll give you three months."

The words of the powerful lord were echoing in the man's head. He had three months to find and capture a very elusive pirate captain. This captain was so elusive, in fact, that no one had a face to put to them, and certainly not a name. The only clues were following the path of chaos they left in their wake. Two raids in less than a week. They were fearless, that was for sure. With each town raided, the more determined Ambrose Gunne felt; and the more determined he felt meant the more fun he knew he was going to have bringing his target down.

Ambrose was in the most recently raided town now, looking for more clues to the captain of the mysterious black ship. So far he had gathered that the pirates were ruthless in their attacks, taking whatever they pleased. The heathens. God would surely punish them when their time came.

The bounty hunter was dressed very formally and easily stood out in any crowd. His long hair was neatly tied and his suit didn't have a single stain or wrinkle. No one would believe he had been living out of cheap taverns for the last two weeks. With only ten weeks to go, however, his contanance wore a very anxious look as he went from civilian to civilan to ask for any describtion they could give about the pirates who had done this to them.

"I watched their ship leave," one older gentleman had said. "They went that way." The gentleman pointed out to the sea (which would have been very obvious) and then said: "You just missed them." Ambrose felt a new wave of determination as he thanked the man and returned to his smaller sailing vessal. With any luck, his small ship would be able to catch the black ship...

Before entering her cabin, she pulled her second Luitenant aside for a brief word before he nodded and headed up to the wheel. She smirked a bit as she opened the door and walked in,shutting it behind her."Tonight will be a good night."Lily said as she took a seat in a silver and gold crafted chair that would of made any king envious.Along the sides were diamonds, rudies, sapphires, and emeralds forming the designs of unearthly flames with a celtic cross embroidered in uniquely carved diamonds and onyx stones. The cushion sunk in a bit as she sat down, down feathers of swans felt like sitting on clouds.Once comfy, she pulled over a few compasses and maps as she decided which town to raid next after she pulled off her hat and set it to the side, letting her fiery red hair fall slightly over her face. This was all a game to her,a game of pride for someone who started out with nothing to her name.

By night fall they were closing in to a well lit town and once they were close enough,it was clear that they were at La'rosia, the pirate capitol of the Mediterranean sea.A few of the crew members started to whoop a bit after the 'Land Ho' call from the crow's nest.Lily soon stepped out of her cabin and smiled as they started slowing to dock,it had been almost a month since they last docked in La'rosia.Once docked,Lily gathered the members together."We're here for the night, people. So have fun, drink as much rum and ale as you want, but don't forget to be back on the ship by noon tomorrow!now get out of here and celebrate!"She roared before the rest of her crew joined in with her before heading off of the ship. She smirked as her second luitenant walked up to her."T'is a nice gesture,Captin."he said with a nod before heading off."Make sure you get to have some fun out here, too, captin. You deserve it the most out of everyone."He pointed out before heading down the deck towards town."You bet I will,Bill."She smirked before heading off of the ship once she was sure everyone had headed into town.

The drunken wails and both men and women screaming and howling from every tavern on the streets. It was a sight to see and it brought a slight smile to Lily's face. She was home, but this time she had everything she could ever want as a pirate. She walked passed a few shops, glancing at a few things in the windows before making her way to her favorite tavern,The Salty Hag.She swung open the swing doors and walked in,the sight of men and women drinking and having a great time was any pirate's ideal life. She walked up stairs and took to a private booth, where she could watch everyone without getting bothered by any drunken fool who'd want to get coozy with her.A waitress walked up and took her order,a bottle of the best rum they had and a glass.it was always hard to find someone to have a good conversation with these days, let alone find one in this god'forsaken town.

Ambrose had started to catch up with the large, black ship in his own tiny one; however he remained a good distance behind it just in case they spotted him. La'rosia, huh? He thought as he watched the crew unload at the known pirate hotspot. Many people walked off the ship, however none of them really looked like they were a captain. Now that the young man thought about it, the captain may not look like a captain at all and that would explain why no one knew who they were.

Quickly, the bounty hunter docked his ship, sneaking the overseer a few gold coins so that his presence wouldn't be known. Now was the hard part, he would have to look all over the large, pirate-infested town for one person who didn't have a face or a name. That's what made the job all the more fun. Ambrose pulled a matted cloak over his suit in an attempt to blend in, and for the most part it was working.

"Hey solider," he heard from the shadows. A woman walked out, her intent clear on her dirty face. "You wan' some company 'tis evening?" Ambrose was disgusted. As if he would ever require... services... from a woman who obviously had not bathed in days.

"No thank you, ma'm." He replied coldly, brushing the woman off. She, however, was very persistant.

"Hey now," Her words were almost slurred as she grabbed onto his shirt, she was drunk. "You look likes you's got plenty o' money... what could it hurt?" The bounty hunter turned, his eyes almost glowing in luster as he glared down to the woman's height.

"I am on a job, scum," and with that he pulled the trigger of his concealed gun from under his cloak. Calmly he walked away as the woman bled out in the shadows, he had more important things to do than to allow a common prostitute ruin his cover. He walked into many of the pubs, looking for anyone who stood out in any way; wether they were too quiet or too loud, too drunk or too sober. No one seemed suspious that night as he jumped from pub to pub and then moved on to the taverns (of course he ordered a small drink at each place so not to look suspious). By the time he made his way to the 'Salty Hag', he could feel the alcohol start to take effect. His vision was getting just a bit blurry and his head was starting to swim. Before he did something he would regret, however, he took a private spot up the stairs...

Lily looked up as a man walked up to her booth and sat down. The only lit emitting from the booth was a small candle,so she could understand a drunk not noticing her at first. She could definitely smell the booze on him,but from the rag cloak he had on over a rather stunning outfit was a bit peculiar to her."Say,sir.You lost or sumt'in?"She asked in a laid back tone as she took a wealthy sip of her rum."You play?"She asked with a raised eyebrow. She always had fun ripping off the drunk in any game of cards,it was a favored pass time for her whenever they were in La'Rosia."My boys up and left me to go have men's fun and it's my birthday."She sighed with a slight pout look as she propped up her head lightly with her hand while watching him still.Common drunk or not,she always had to have her wits about her even when getting a tad drunk herself. It was a good thing that she grew up in this place and on a pirate ship her whole life, getting drunk was a favored pass time for any 'respectable' pirate in this town."What's your name sailor?"

Ambrose hadn't noticed a young woman also sitting away from the crowds and she was quickly brought to his attention when she spoke. "No, miss, I'm not lost." The bounty hunter had one hand to his temple and the other was resting on the table. "Just looking for a place to catch my breath." He smiled a charming smile to the woman, which was probably a result of the drinking he had been doing. "Do I play?" He repeated with a bit of a chuckle. "Miss, I'm one of the best card players you will even had the great fortune of meeting," with that, Ambrose pulled out his deck of cards from his pocket and started to shuffle them, never taking his dark eyes off the woman. He should be looking for the Captain like he was supposed to, but he couldn't bring his tired mind to it.

"You don't say," he chuckled as he started to pass out the cards, even drunk as he was, he was amazing at card games (in fact, he was probably better at them after a few drinks). "They left a sweet, littly lady like you to celebrate your day by yourself? Well, if it helps, I'll be your escort tonight," that statement wasn't exactly the strong drink speaking, it was more like Ambrose's unnatural charm. "My name?" he chuckled, "Ambrose. And who do I have the pleasure of playing cards with tonight?"

"This booth has plenty of room."Lily said gesturing to the open seat across from her.She smiled as she watched him pull out the deck of cards."That's interesting deck, where's it from,Spain?"She asked curiously watching him with bright green eyes as he shuffled the cards, glancing up at his face in between the different shuffling."Then you're in luck.I've been told I'm a real devil when it comes to playing cards,Ambrose. An escort, huh?I've never had an escort before."She chuckled with a sweet smile. She knew how to sweet talk men,it was a fun game to see which ones would fall for her charm and natural beauty."Yeah, well, what do you expect from a bunch of pirates."She snickered."You can never find a decent gentleman among them at all."She held out a hand to him."Lily,Lily Selestia. What brings a fine man like you here to La'Rosia?"She asked, letting a bit of her Irish accent come through. It always came out whenever she drank. It wasn't a quality she didn't like per say,but it was something that made men more attracted to her, someone as rare as her in this part of the world.

Ambrose had seated himself down in the booth as he looked at his cards and then back to the woman. "Heh, I could only hope to have a deck from Spain, I hear they make everything right there, however this is just a humble deck of cards from Italy." He looked at the artwork on the back of his cards, he was lying when he said the deck was humble. They had cost him a fortune, however this woman didn't seem to care about his money all that much. "Well then, I look forward to our game. Maybe we should make it interesting?" A small smile was on the man's lips. He looked so innocent but it was obviously the effect of the strong drinks he had had. His smile disappeared when she said 'pirates' however and was replaced with an evil grin. "You take your company with pirates?" Ambrose chuckled as he placed his cards back on the table and thoughtfully caressed them. "You really never can find a decent one in the lot." He was speaking mostly to the cards until he was brought back to reality by Lily's introduction.

"Lily, eh?" He said as he took her hand and kissed it. "It's a pleasure, truely. And I just came for a good nights rest, what about you, Birthday girl?"

"It's still a pretty fancy one,but none can compare to one from Spain."Lily chuckled as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a small black ash wood case, opening it gently on her right hand before opening it up to reveal a brilliantly designed deck with gold running along the edges of the cards as she pulled it out a showed him the other side of the top card, the Ace of Hearts was designed in gold print."Pretty neat, huh?I got it off of a merchant ship last month."She said with a proud nod."Trust me,I make a great poker buddy on poker nights."She smirked as she notice the change of his expression."Why,yes, yes I do.I'm actually a captin."She nodded as she watched him curiously, who was this guy?Something told her that he would put up a challenge for her."Or none as rare."She shrugged lightly as she placed the deck back into the wooden case, and back into her pocket.

Lily smiled as Ambrose kissed her hand before frowning a bit, getting to her feet and hitting the table."Rest? You won't get any rest tonight if you're going to party with Captin Lily Selestia!"She roared proudly with a huge grin on her face as she laughed, sitting back in her seat looking at him.
