Monster Series Trailer

The Story:
Quote:
What would you do if a child you saved grew up to be a monster? An ice-cold killer is on the loose, and Dr. Kenzo Tenma is the only one who can stop him! Tenma, a brilliant neurosurgeon with a promising future, risks his career to save the life of a critically wounded young boy named Johan. When the boy, now a coldhearted and charismatic young man, reappears nine years later in the midst of a string of unusual serial murders, Tenma must go on the run from the police, who suspect him to be the killer, to find Johan and stop the monster he set loose upon the world.
Conspiracies, serial murders, and secret government experiments set against the grim backdrop of the formerly communist Eastern Europe are masterfully woven together in this compelling work of suspense.
I would like to get more people involved in this absolutely riveting work of art. This anime is by far the best I've ever watched, and the manga is the best I've ever read. The story is composed of genius backdrops and thrilling adventures. It is also quite mature and lengthy, but thrilling as well as dramatic.
There are seventy-four episodes in the anime:
One hundred sixty-two chapters in the manga
I hope you would consider this!

I've gone ahead and moved this into our Anime/Manga forum.

And please remember to use quote tags when posting any material that you did not write. It is against our rules to copy-paste outside writing.

Oh yeah, this is a really good anime. I also wonder why it isn't as popular as any other anime. It's really suspenseful and has really neat artwork. The characters are really cool. Grimmer is my favorite, but I also like Lunge and Dieter.

I very much enjoyed the manga. I haven't been able to finish the series yet or watch the anime, but I plan to buy both when possible. ^_^

Great storyline, much attention to details, and the art is pretty good. It's definitely worth some attention.

Agreed, Yumeko. I started out with the anime, but then moved onto the manga when I couldn't wait every week for two episodes on Syfy. It's addicting.
I think the best character is Lunge. His behavior is a little peculiar, but also cool. Grimmer's awesome, too. And who can't like Johan? XD

Detectives don't get any more bad ass than Lunge. Urasawa makes each and every character so complex in their own way, even the side characters. I admire that in an anime. All characters should be treated important.

I love love love this anime. It's so deep, so intense. I love this kind of drama, suspense. I didn't know that it was on onemanga, I'm totally gonna read it after I finish Deathnote. I can't wait to see more of this anime, though. I could feel the frustration, devastation Dr. Tenma must've felt upon seeing that his one moment of making a decision between right and wrong turned out to result in saving a cold-blooded killer- a monster. I can't wait to see how this series ends.

I just started watching it a few months ago, actually.

I've only seen the first four (I think?) episodes so far, because I've been somewhat busy lately, but so far I've really enjoyed what I've watched.

I made a thread for this. I love this anime. Suddenly when something comes on after it, I tend it lose interest. I am very fond of semi realistic type cartoons in general. What I attempt to draw. This whole anime just fits for me.
I generally only buy DVDs when I find them on clearance, but I put this one on my amazon wishlist. Might be the anime first set I ever buy.
