Jake chuckled and then shook his head "i dout she would even know im gone, she hardly ever spends time with me nower days, we used to hang out ever day, now it every now and again" he sighed and sat down "im starting to dout it... is she planning something special or just seeing someone else"

Ember smirked softly and giggled. Leaning over she smiled at Jake. “Skye is a wonderful girl I doubt she is doing anything bad.” sticking her tongue out playfully she smiled and then sat back. Laying back on the bed she fixed her dress over her legs and then looked at the walls. “I wouldn't worry if I were you, you two are cute!”

Jake blushed again and chuckled "i know she is... and thank you... i don't think im cute, more... gothic" he said joking as he shook his head, i can't beleive i wasn't aloud to wear my face paint to this place" he growled looking around "stupid school"

Ember smiled softly and sat up quickly. Closing her eyes she sighed and then opened them. “ha cute Gothic.. still you two are cute together, I think.” she smiled softly and then giggled. “Your face paint..?' she knew he did wear some but then again she didn’t know much about many of the kids here, since she ditches more then half the day.

Jake chuckled and looked at her with a raised eyebrow "you have never seen me with face paint on?" he chuckled and shook his head "where have you been, im always wearing it"

Ember looked at the wall away from Jake and smirked. “At the park with some guys... you know having fun hanging out and yeahs.. though they are just friends so no thinking weird things!!!” she looked back with a grr face and then smiled, laughing softly. “How do you look with it on?” she asked softly with a curious little smile on her lips.

Jake nodded "ok then, no weird things" he then looked at her and shook his head chuckling "i suppose you want me to put it on don't you? if i do, it can't stay on for long"

Ember smiled and nodded. “Good!” laughing softly she smiled and shook her head. “nah I'm okee, I'll probably see it soon.. or online.. who knows what kids have taken photos of.” she winked and then laughed softly. Looking around she noticed that they were the only kids in here, the only other person was the nurse. Sighing softly she stood up from the bed and walked to the window. Staring out she was confused. “How come I can't see out?”

Jake walked up to the window and looked at it "can it be?... it looks like it snow covering it" he said as he looked back at the nurse, when she was distracted he hit the window hard but not to hard to break it, when he hit it the snow feel off and they could see out "what the?..."

Ember jumped slightly when she heard the noise from when Jake hit the window. She whimpered softly and then walked to Jake. “What's outside?” she went on her tip toes and looked outside. Her eyes widened and then she shivered again. “i knew I wasn't dreaming, the whole place is snowed up!”

Jake looked at her "so that means we are stuck here... or will be soon enough" he said as he continued to watch the snow fall "this is just brilliant" he grumbled

Skye stood over the sink, gazing into her reflection in the dull, not-so-shiny-any-more mirror. Her expression was indecipherable -- something between a frown and a grin -- as she sighed, slowly shaking her head. She looked down to the side of the basin, casting her gaze on the small black velvet box. It sat there, emitting not a sound, smelling of nothing but polish. And yet . . . It's mere presence seemed to unnerve the girl. She picked up the box and, with shaking hands, opened it to reveal two identical silver rings, beautiful snakes with intricately carved scales and a shine like a supernova. Looking up and into the mirror, she locked onto her own paint-splatter eyes and attempted a smile. Taking in a deep breath, she took one of the rings from the box and held it in her right hand, hovering over her left.

"Jake." she breathed, slowly sliding the ring onto her own fourth finger. "Marry me ?"

Blinking furiously in surprise, a deep red flush stained Skye's cheeks as she removed the ring from her finger and quickly snapped it back into the box. Her pulse quickening, she flustered through her purse to find her make-up in a desperate attempt to distract herself. The though of getting married to her lover seemed innocent enough, but how could she be casual about it ? Grabbing her lipstick, she dotted her lips with the pale colour and pouted theatrically. Reaching for her eyeliner, she touched up her eyes and, finally, put everything back into her purse. Satisfied with her appearance, she ran a hand over her dress. The silk material caressed her skin like feathers and felt light and airy.

Tucking a piece of her fiery red hair behind her ear, Skye carefully picked up the box and placed it into her purse before making a quick exit from the ladies bathroom. She had been hiding inside for at least an hour, having arrived at the school dance hours before everybody else. She had caught a brief glimpse of Jake on the other side of the room and ran to the comfort of the Ladies. Emerging onto the wooden floorboards of the hall, she smiled began to make her way towards the large array of tables and chairs where she had spotted Jake earlier, her heels tap-tap-tapping on the floor.

Ember sighed softly and then turned to Jake. "let's go back, it seems like it might lift our spirits if we do." She smiled softly and then grabbed his wrist, pulling him back to the dance and then let him go. She spotted Jack's girlfriend and smiled. "I'll be back, stay put." She smirked and then went into the crowd, soon she came up behind Skye, tapping her shoulder softly. "Hey Skye, come with me..." She gave Skye no time to answer, as she pulled her to where Jake was. Laughing softly she bowed her head and turned around. she started to walk and then stopped. "Bye!" she smiled softly and waved, waking back to the chairs and plopping down into one.

Feeling a soft touch on her shoulder, Skye turned on her heel. Her expression broke into a wide smile as she saw Ember standing in front of her, looking rather cute, as always. he two had never really spoken to each other much before but the detention worker was always smiling whenever Skye ran into her. She seemed so sweet -- it was such a shame they never really had anything to do with each other. She obediently allowed the girl to pull her through the crowds of dancing students and a light flush touched her cheeks as she realized where she was being taken. Locking eyes with Jake, Skye smiled warmly, cocking her head to one side.

"I've been looking for you, Mister !" she sighed, happily as she embraced the boy, wrapping her arms around him. "Enjoying yourself ?"

Jake watched her walk off and then he sighed, he looked around at everythink that was in the room, when he heard Skye's vocie he turned around and looked into her eyes, he started to blush "you have? but... i... i never knew" he then shook his head "i have been having a bit of fun, what about you?"

• Alexander ruffled with his hair, taking his sweet time in getting to the school gymnasium, which was where the dance was held. He stepped in the doors slowly, looking around. I don't see anyone. Hmm, he thought, only finding a seat. Only a few minutes later, he realized Ember was sitting a few chairs down. He could spot her crazy hair anywhere. "Em?" He asked, scooting a few chairs closer. Dear God, if it's some other girl that decided to dye her hair ten different shades, I'll just die.
