Well, the WIP I'm currently doing now is only a portrait one, but right now I don't know whether the shading looks nice or not ;_; if it doesn't, then I'll redo it again - but I don't want to re-shade it all over again once everything is done, so I thought of asking some suggestions as to what YOU think of it. yes, you, don't go off by others' comments, especially if someone says its nice, don't agree against you opinion, be as harsh as you like.
WIP:
Well, what do you think? And, btw - i guess I'd better give all credits now, I don't want to get into trouble =P
CREDITS:
- Base: [♥]
- Hair help (yes, and a great help indeed!) [♥]
yes, I happen to shade it in the style inspired by mariiii (though of course, it doesn't look nicer than hers)
As you can see, I've only shaded the top left (from the screen, right from her point of view xP) which is in lime green (or whatever). i decided to make it my OC, but I guess the color was too bright, so I thought of calling it as 'evergreen lady' or something like that, with green leaves bordering below. But that we'll see it later, tell me about what you think!

Hi Asma,
I remember seeing the line art for this over on the Empire. :) I think you are doing great so far. The shading looks fine at the moment. My only concern is the highlights seem a little random rather than coming from any particular source. For example the big highlight near the roots and the small one near the roots mysteriously stop before they spread to the other areas near them. They would only stop in the light source is not an open one(ex. a flashlight) or the light is being blocked out of that area by another object. Are you working with one light source in mind or several? It might help to mark or keep in mind where your light source is coming from and if there are many then think of how they will effect each other.
Here is a link to a light theory tutorial by Wayuki if you need one. ^^

I hope this helps. :)

I absolutely love the coloring on the face. Gorgeous! I do have the same critique though, something about the highlights are off. Hopefully, the tutorial Oh-My-Stars sent is helpful!
