So I recently got into the Naruto manga. I boycotted Naruto for ages because in both the Sub & Dub Naruto's voice was just horrible... But, thankfully, there are no voices in Manga, so I've started reading that.

and omg...

Sasuke is like, insane. Naruto is still annoying, but not nearly as much, and cool people keep dying and other cool people get no page time... Shino seems awesome but he's hardly ever seen. Lee sucks and he's always seen... Sakura does nothing but cry and Kakashi constantly looks high. Now, I have no idea how close the manga is to the anime because my brain can't handle Naruto's voice in any language enough to watch it, but really...

What kind of drugs is this story's creator on? D:

And how is something so disturbing so interesting at the same time?

I love the character, I really do. They're good, solid, interesting people.
I absolutely HATE HATE HATE the story. it's a tremendous pile of horribleness.

But the thing is Naruto is losing popularity in the polls, so SJ is pushing Kishi to write more plot twists so it'll become more interesting for readers, and they can make some extra cash off of it.

I don't think Kishi is on drugs (it would be funny and sad if he was lol), but i'm kind of wondering if he's doing this becuase he's really REALLY tired. He has exactly one week to write and draw an entire chapter of the series (which is a rediculously short deadline even for a mangaka).

Honestly, I'm only reading it to see how it ends at this point. I've read better fanfiction for it.

I only suggested drugs because of Evangelion and it's creator's bad habits and the insanity of it's story.

The characters are solid as you say, but Naruto has always annoyed me. He's too unrealistic to me.

I'm kind of glad you mentioned fanfiction, though. Perhaps I'll check that out ;)
