Lately I've been going to bed at around 6 am. I usually game all night and sleep half the day if I don't have to work. The past two nights I actually went to bed at somewhat reasonable times, but this morning I woke up at 4 and I don't feel fully rested. I'm messing up my biological clock at suck a young age, and honestly I do feel bad. But it's one of those habits that are hard to break lol.

Any other night lurkers here?

Oh my. I wasn't allowed to stay up past like 8 when I was younger.

It's 9:51 am here and I have to leave at 4 for work. I plan on napping before then, but I'm still gonna be tired. It's sad.

I always used to stay up until 4 and get up at 6 too. Currently, I normally don't get to bed until 2am at the earliest. I work until midnight though and by the time I get all my pets tucked in for the night and cleaning or whatever done then it's at least 2. Some nights I just don't sleep at all depending on if I can actually get to sleep.

My husband leaves for work at 10:30pm and comes home at around 4 am, so naturally, we are awake more at night. I tend to wake up earlier than he does, though, especially if I end up taking a nap while he's at work. I usually go to bed at around five or six in the morning, then wake up any time between ten and noon. He usually doesn't wake up until at least three or four, though he's trying to get in the habit of waking up earlier. Unfortunately, he's had trouble sleeping lately and has been staying up all night, then napping in the evening before work. >_<

I'm like that too. I typically go to sleep at 3:00 or 4:00 AM and wake up sometime in the afternoon. I can't seem to change that. I've never been a morning person, and all through grade school I struggled in the mornings to stay awake in class. In my senior year, I often took naps as soon as I got home. It was awful. Now I always choose college classes in the afternoon or evening. I just can't do morning. I'm lucky I work at home, so I do my work for my job when I feel like it. I did work in an office for a little over a year before they had me work at home, and sometimes I felt like I was about to fall asleep there too, but it wasn't quite as bad since I didn't have to wake up as early for my job as a lot of other people do. I need to get a second job and I'd really like it to be a night job since I can't deal with waking up early and I've given up on ever getting my schedule to be where I'm awake during the day. The best I can do right now is once a week, on Saturdays, I get up around 10:00 or 11:00 in the morning to volunteer. I can manage one day of the week but I don't think I could manage much more than that.

I can never allow myself to stay awake all night, I love sleep to much and Love the sun. If I ever wake up past 11 i feel like crap because it is as if I wasted my entire day... Plus in my opinion it's so boring staying up all night and ruining your body.

Yea, I think everyone feels like that when they wake up so late. I'm actually always occupied when I stay up and that's the reason why I stay up lol.

I seem to be getting myself on a polyphasic sleep patter. I go to bed at 3 am and wake up at 9 then take a 30 min nap sometime in the afternoon. I feel like I get enough sleep if I stick to the nap thing.

I don't really stay up past two. Early schedule and all that besides I'm not really much of a night person.

XD I'm a night person as well. I don't usually go to bed until at least 12:00am. I usually stay up later if I don't have to do schoolwork/go anywhere in the morning. At night, I don't feel as tired for some reason. >:3 Mornings don't like me, and I don't like them.

I have always been nocturnal. The one thing that really sucks is I have to wear sunglasses even at night because the freaking street lights are so bright. Are day people blind?

I guess insomnia doesn't help but I always find I sleep better in the day and have more energy to do things during the night.

Ditto on this. I've been this way since I was 5 years old and it's still going strong. There are times I wish I could just go to sleep like a "normal" person but nuuuuu.

In the school holidays I am definately a night lurker. I much prefer the night to the day and my head feels much clearer then. I get so much done at night compared to the day. Though yeah, for a quarter of the year my biological clock is seriously messed up xD

@ xRhii

My boyfriends an insomniac, but he loves the night just as much as I do. I think the sun does burn your eyes. I get really energetic at night, too. Whereas, during the day, I feel as though I'm losing energy.

When you get to be a certain age, staying up gets harder and harder to do. I've had day jobs for too long to remember what the nightlife was like. I've had to be up before 7 for the last 5 years or so and now I can't sleep in past 8 in the morning anymore!!

@ Polarisld33

I don't think every person is supposed be a day person. It's just too natural for me to be up at night. My internal clock gets messed up when I stay up during the day.
