I don't mean to discourage either of you from having a good time and chatting - but is there perhaps another thread you can do so in? For example, an Exchange thread, Menewsha Nations thread, Charity thread or Quest thread?
The Community Discussions forum is meant to have a particular topic for discussion (ie: This thread is "saving gold") where the conversation more or less revolves around the issue being discussed or is related to the original discussion. Casual conversations are expected to be taken to other threads once they've gone past a few posts.
Again - this isn't to embarrass either of you or to make you feel 'in trouble', but it would help keep the thread on-topic. :)

When I'm on the site the best way I save gold is by posting posting posting,
Playing Habor Fishing,
And just laving it alone,
Really I don't see the point at this time to rush to get an item,
Just have fun and cat and save.

I have just over 1,000 items in total now.
My most expensive item is my Oriental Fan.
My dream item is a Gold Clover Hairpin, or a Mask Set... Or a V-Day Belt. :ninja:
The most gold I've had at one time, as far as my memory goes, was 25,000 gold. After the prompt sale of my Chicken in a Chokehold.

My best advice on saving gold is to toss it on a mule account if you don't use your mule account much. ;) I use mine essentially as my bank (first) and as a way to play with male items (second). Out of sight - out of mind!
As for earning gold... Starting a hangout thread where you can get people chatting/starting a topic in a forum that might get a lot of replies is a good one. You earn gold passively by people replying in your thread (not much, but it does add up after awhile) and you earn gold by responding to everyone in the thread.
I don't play games except once in a blue moon (especially if I only need a few gold to get me an item I'd like to have) - but I do know it's a fast way to earn gold. ;)
Looking out for contests is a great way to earn gold/items. Not necessarily staff-run either. There are loads of user contests and page prizes out there. It just involves people making an effort. Even if this effort is as simple as exploring the other forums and chatting in the threads until the page prize rolls around.

Most I've had on me at one time was like 16k. My most expensive items would be the Sash of Chaos and Scarf of Order I have. Not sure which is the more expensive of two. Or maybe it's my Light Spell. o.o'

I am trying to save myself, but once in a while it can be hard to resist. I remember giving into some temptations while I was last active. But now I am really aiming to save up.
