((I plan on changing this as soon as I know the answer but since I'm a teacher I'm not quite sure where to start in my post...))

Cecily took her time on her way to class. She was early and felt no need to rush. She smiled as she took in the scenery of the campus. It really was a wonderful location and she planned to explore all of it during her time between classes. She pressed a button on her watch to make the lid flip back, revealing the time. Oh it's early! I'm going to have a quick look around now... she thought mischievously as she slipped down one of the paths into a shaded part of one of the gardens.

She took a deep breath of rose-scented air and sighed happily as she looked for a place to sit down for a few minutes. She found a lovely wrought-iron bench with intricate celestial signs worked into the design. She reached down and brushed her fingertips across the cold iron and shivered with pleasure, giggling softly. She got this way around well made items, especially when they were made of metal. Straightening up, she tugged at her skirt and looked up into the tree that shaded the bench. Here eyes grew huge with excitement as she saw, up in the branches of the tree, a metallic glimmer. She took another look at her watch to confirm that class wouldn't start for another ten minutes at least, and stepped up onto the bench. As she grabbed the lowest branch and readied to haul herself up she glanced back over her shoulder to make sure no one was coming. The length of her skirt covered fine on the ground...but climbing the tree would almost certainly expose her lace-trimmed red underpants to anyone who happened to look up. Note to self: when planning to explore, chose the pants. Deciding she was truly alone in the garden she scrambled into the lowest branches and began making her way towards the mysterious treasure.

Angel used one of his vampiric abilities to look around, being out of himself and found a girl in a tree climbing, and stupidly wearing a skirt, he came back to himself and chuckiled a little and went for the side of that grden as to not embarrass the girl by seeing what he knew she had on. It took a couple of minutes to get to a tree close and he jumped from that tree a couple branches up from where she was. Being as silent as possible he waited for her to notice.

Pulling herself up onto a higher branch Cecily paused to catch her breath. She looked down and noticed that she was at least 20 feet off the ground by now and it occurred to her that going down might be more difficult than going up. She shrugged, "Meh," she said, chuckling to herself. It would all be worth it when she claimed her metallic prize! She looked back up towards her next branch and yelped. About three feet up on a branch sat a man with red eyes and white hair. Her arms windmilled for a moment before she wrapped her arms around the trunk to stop herself from losing her footing and plummeting to the ground. She felt like her heart would burst out of her chest, it was pounding so hard. When she had calmed down she looked back up to make sure she wasn't hallucinating. "What the hell are you doing up here?! And how, for that matter...you weren't up here when I started climbing!"

Finx walked out of the dormhall and into the sun light. Breathing in the fresh air she looked around for her brother nowing that he would be up by now and searching for something to do.

Cal walked out into the sun light and hissed softly at the glare. He walked around trying to find the girl that he had been horrible to the other day. He was passing under a tree when he heard voices stoppong he looked up but from there he could only see the girl. He hesitated not wanting to scare and not really sure what to say.

He smiled. "I'm sorry to have scared you, but I wasen't doing anything, well, I'm not until the night classes start and I found this to be interesting enough." he says. "I can go pretty fast" He was facsinated by humans and day creatures, bit they always ran from him when they knew he was a vampire. He hoped she wouldn't, he really wanted to talk to someone who wasen't afraid of what he was, he did get into drinking animal blood so they weren't at risk.

"I see. Well, no harm done." She shrugged, the movement was a bit awkward since her arms were still flung around the tree. She slowly detached herself and resumed her ascent. When she reached the branch where the white-haired man sat, she settled onto it herself and smiled over at him. "So, you're a night student then? I seem to be meeting a lot of them lately. What's your power?" She swung her feet back and forth absently, then glanced at her watch, just to confirm that she would still make it to class on time.

"I'm a vampire, but unlike most I can control the elements in times of life or death." he says. "I've been alive since world war 2 and I've seen things you probably haven't heard of." he goes on to say about how old he was in vampire years. "How about you, do you have any special gifts?" he asked curiously.

"Yeah, I make stuff. I can see how gadgets work. I can take things apart and know how to put them back together in a way that makes them function better. I can also work with metal at much lower temperatures than most people." She shrugged with a little smile, "Not nearly as cool as controlling the elements. But..." She frowned for a second, "There was one time where I caused a van I was in to crash. I was the only thing that survived, and that defied all known laws of physics."

"I see, that is interesting indeed, what kind of state was the van in, was it disintagrated, or on fire? maybe just totaled?" he asked. "That would be a helpful clue to kind of help figure it out." he says truely curious about this. He was glad she didn't run from him though, it was nice to have someone to talk to after so long of only being able to talk to human blood addicted vampires, it was nice to speak to someone one less evil in his mind.

"I don't remember much after being grabbed off the street. I remember biting one of the men's hand as he held it over my mouth and told me not to scream. Naturally, the next thing I did was scream. I've heard stories from people who were there when it happened and from the EMTs afterwards. Story goes, the van was completely crumpled around a pole. They said the brakes failed, the engine overheated and exploded, and the gauges went crazy before it happened. The EMTs spent twenty minutes just putting out the fire before they were able to cut away enough metal to get inside. The two guys who were in the van with me were mangled so badly that the only way to identify them was with their dental records. I, on the other hand, was curled up in a pocket of debris. It looked as though the metal had wrapped itself around an egg shell with me inside, completely untouched. Apart from being unconscious for two days, I was unharmed."

For once he didn't know what to think of it. "I think you have somesort of connection with things, to the point where if it's the only way to survive, they'll help you, the debris was probably attracted to you because you were in danger, and the othr stuff was probably because they dramatized you into subconsciously doing that, I think I've heard about that, but I'm not quite sure." he hoped that this was accurate, but she herself didn't seem to know how it happened.

She shrugged, "Makes about as much sense as any other theory I've come up with." She looked down at her watch, "Ah hell...class starts soon and I still have to get out of the tree..." She stood up on the branch and reached for the next one up, pulling herself up the trunk with surprising ease considering that she was, after all, only human. "I'll be done in a sec," She called back down, "Oh, and I never did get your name."

"Angel." he called up. "I don't believe caught your name my friend." he says wondering what she could be doing. "What areyou doing by the way, if you don't mind my asking."

She looked back down, "Nice to meet you Angel. I'm Cecily." She grunted softly as she hoisted herself up to the next branch, "There's a metallic treasure up in these branches and I intend to rescue it." She finally found herself on the same level as her prize and she grinned widely. Hugging the branch that was supporting her, she began to shimmy carefully out towards the object. When she reached it, she realized it was some sort of brass pocket watch. Her eyes grew huge, this was an amazing find! A magpie probably picked it up to take to his nest and dropped it accidentally. But his loss was her gain and she strained to wrap her fingers around the chain. Unfortunately, it had been wrapped around the twigs and leaves. She tugged harder, making the branches sway, "Dammit, it's stuck!" She gritted her teeth and gave one more swift tug. The watch snapped free, but she wasn't prepared for it. She yelped as she slid sideways and ended up hanging under the branch, her legs the only things keeping her from falling. A strange thought for the moment floated across her mind, as they often do in dire situations, Well shit...my skirt is hanging upside-down too.

Angel easily jumped to the branch right below the one she was now on. "Well Cecily, it' looks like you might need some help, would you mind if I helped you down?" he says kindly. He notices the pocket watch now. "Oh so that's what you spotted up here? Very nuusually nice find for being in a tree, you have very good eyes to spot that up here." SHe seemed very uncomfortable wearing her uniform skirt, he couldn't help but notice.

She found herself eye to eye, if upside down, with Angel, "Oh, sure...thanks" she blushed a little, as she tried to subtally hold her skirt down. Or up, as the case may be. Looking lovingly at the watch, she said, "Yeah...I kinda sense when these things are nearby. "I think a magpie must have dropped it. Or maybe a raccoon..." She looked back into his upside-down eyes, "So, what do you need me to do?"

He easily unlatched her from the branch, holding her, stopping her from falling and jumped down to the ground. He placed her on her feet and kept his arm near her in case she needed assistance with balance. "There we go, back on land up right." he says smiling.

She blinked in surprise, "Well that was easy," she brushed herself off and smiled warmly, "Thank you again, I'm glad you were there to detach me..." She held up the watch, allowing it to spin and glint in the sunlight before tapping it and holding it to her ear. She grinned, "What luck! It's still wound!" she pushed the top button and it flipped open. When she looked at the time her grin faded and her eyes got big, "Oh no! I'm going to be late!" she snapped it shut before giving Angel a quick hug. Her cheeks pink she smiled, "So...I'll see you around?" she turned to go and suddenly realized they weren't alone. She stopped short. Her face paled slightly as her features steeled and her eyes flashed, "Hello Col. I do hope you aren't intending that fatal fight to start now. You see, I have class and would rather not get my uniform any dirtier than I already have," she turned back to Angel, "Goodbye Angel, it was nice meeting you," With a final look at Col she began to stalk past him.

"Nice to meet you too Cecily, see you round." he says, looking at the other being, then climbing back up the tree and lay on a branch up near the top. He wasen't interested in anything at the time.
