Noticing Eldre's face, Inuyami couldn't help but laugh.

"Hey, don't worry about it. Their nasty things... just thought I'd bring some out if you were the kind who liked those sorts of things." Inuyami bit into a thick chunk of steak and ripped at it wildly. All sence of propriety had gone out the window with Eldre's assault on the platter so it didn't matter any more to Inuyami weather or not she acted civil. This was the most fun Yami had had for a long while and in mid-bite she began to space out.

This girl may not know much about much but she pretty cool. I've never met anyone quite like her... and her ears! *sqeeee* Someone else with ears like mine!!! I know for sure she's not gonna pick on me behind my back like all my old 'friends' used to. I wonder which dorm she's in, I hope it's close to mine. I'd like to be this girls friend if she'll let me... start our own little... what's it called.... oh pack! Tee-hee-hee I hope the rest of the school year is as fun as today was! The streak hung from Inuyami's mouth as she stared off into space. Her eye had wandered and settle on the leaves of a nearby tree. She must of look like quite a sight.

"But...Merrill i did that paintting because you gave me a home and a job and......you actually care about all of us Demons. It is nice not having to worry about being huntted or not having a place to fit in at or being worried about how your going to survive. I mean you do so much for us yet your human......you have shown a lot of demons that humans all not all the same which has preventted war. You are very special to us all and the paintting was just my way of thanking you." Levana said to him with very stronge emotions which showed on her face and at some point a couple of tears had slipped downher face as she blinked, her smile never faultering as she stepped closer to him, pausing a moment before she hugged him tightly. Her face had been flushed at how close they were but she wantted him to know that she meant every word that she had spoken to him, after all life was hard for her before she had met him and now it is a lot easier then it had been.

A hard swallow, that Merrill hoped had gone unnoticed, washed the redness from his face and he smiled softly. He lifted his right hand and set it on the top of Levana's head, just holding it there. He head drooped forward, his blue hair hiding his red eyes. The air around the too of them seemed to be standing still but it felt like the world was spinning outside of their spot light.

She understood without having to understand, and that was all he ever really wanted. Since he was young, Merrill always wanted to help people and he never wanted anything in return for his good deeds. He was a man of action and words better then any gold or gem. No one had ever shown him appriciation in such a graceful and meaningful way before. Usually just a thank you was all he'd recieve at the end of a job; but the sincerity in Levana's eyes the tears that fell to the cloth on her breast; for a moment it was all over whelming.

"Levana..." Merrill started, his hand slid from the crown of her head down the right side of her face and off to his side. A strand of hair lingered on his finger tips, tickling his knuckles. "We'll miss our meal if we don't hurry along." The moment had passed, earth became still and the wind began to creep down the side walks once again. The strand of silky hair lifted from Merrill's fingers and floated away with the moment. He secretly clenched his left fist, straitened his back, and looked away; cursing himself in his mind.

For Levana it was different, Merrill had stepped into the light and it had made him look very unreal, he was the one thing that had made her heart stop for a moment that made her force her breathing until it was slow, she couldn’t act like a big kid when alone with him, he just affected her that much. The face that he had made when talking about her refusing his money and this was his way of repaying her, well it just touched that spot in her that wanted to make him understand just why she did it besides the fact that she has a crush on him or wants to date him.

After a few minutes of standing there and hugging the man that she had feelings for, she sighed slightly when he touched the top of her head, causing her to lean into him a bit more like any animal that like being petted would. When his hand dropped to his side that was when she knew she had to let him go, she stepped away and wiped her face for a couple of minutes before her childish smile was back on her face and she was grinning.

“Well then lead the way Merrill or would you rather race there?” she said to him in that teenager-ish way of hers as she bounced slightly on the balls of her feet, ready to take off if he started to run. Her face was still pink, the tale tell tint that let him know that she was blushing and that something had happened between them in those few little moments. Secretly she was glad he was human, after all it meant he couldn’t hear her heart racing or her shallow breathing as she tried to calm down. She did feel hurt when he had turnned away, she had thought something completely different but she had pulled a smile on and pretended like she was fine at the moment.

"How do you expect to race me somewhere if you don't know where it is?" He said jokingly as he patted her on the head once with his left hand and then began to lead the way.

Eldre wasn't frightened in the least as she hadn't really noticed between the rib hanging from her mouth and the sight of a particular male not far from the dining room. "Mr. Daevan!!" standing up she waves to get his attention not realizing that since he was blind he could not see her, nor could he hear her as he was outside. "darn, must not have heard me, or seen me for that matter..." frowning slightly to herself she sits back down ignoring the stares of the other kids in the room as she pulls out a large steak, her teeth beginning to make short work of it.

"Yea....ummm by smell?" Levana asked him as she got a sheepish look on her face as she rubbed at the back of her head. She jerked a minute before she followed after Merrill, after all it was easy to forget that she was a demon especially when she acted like a kid. "So is the food good at the restaurant? Are the vegetables fresh? OH! Do you like to eat there a lot?" she asked him as she tried to make conversation and not have the awkward silence as she seemed to bounce around a lot like a puppy.

Inuyami turned to look at who ever Eldre was waving at, then turned back to her platter of meat.

"A friends of yours?" She asked.

"By smell?" Merrill repeated to himself under his breath. It was a veggie shack... what kind of smell does a place like that give off? His mind didn't linger on the topic though, he couldn't. Levana had what seemed like a berrage of questions for him about the place he was taking her. "It's a new kind of resturant, with a green house attached in the back. The owners and employee's will only grow and serve top quality, grade A+ vegatables available to this part of the world. I've been there quite a few times, as a handful of the kitchen staff are vege-demon's like yourself. Being so close to campus I figured I'd help them to get the jobs." A smile faught to consume his face but he kept it hidden well. Her enthusiasm was, in it's own way, cute.

...you actually care about all of us demons... Levana's words repeated in Dean Aikedo's. He hadn't realised just how much he'd really done for demons threw his life before. As a child he was always helping smaller injured demons, such as pixies and fairies, but as he grew so did his good deeds. The smile broke threw and Merrill looked down a dark alley to try and hide it. It seemed foolish to be smiling now, he didn't want Levana to inquire.

...I mean you do so much for us yet your human... The last half lingered in his brain longer. His smile faded and his gaze fell to the concreat of the side walk. Only human... That's all I can ever be. At least as a human I can make the differences that saves demons like Lee and all the others I've met threw the years. I'll always have them in my heart. They, along with the deeply rooted reasons, drive me to make this world worth living in for everyone. It isn't right that creatures should be treated so harshly for the actions of their ancestors. Merrill pulled himself from his thoughts after seeing a tile of the side walk with a familiar dig mark and permanate brown stain.

"Here we are." He said, opening to door to what looked like someone's home. His right hand ushered Levana inside as he bowed his head a little in the name of propriety.

"a friend?" looking up from her steak, the meat momentarily forgotten as inuyami interrupted her train of thought. it took a moment more before she realized who inuyami was talking about. "oh! no sorry" smiling she goes on almost sheepishly "he is just a security guard i met when i went to check in... and i made the mistake of thinking him a student until i saw that he was a security guard." shrugging as she finishes she once again begins to chew, the steak having shrunk to half its size by now.

“Wow! Really? I knew some of the other shifters are vegan like I am but I also know that there are some that aren‘t. I don‘t like those shifters cause they have a tendency to be cannibals some times which is very dangerous for people like me but then again it is who they are and you can‘t change that about them, I just wish that they could try and be vegans.” Levana said to Merrill as she just rambled on about the non-vegan shifters that she knows and how she is afraid that they may end up eating each other.
Surprisingly she was still very energetic and in a happy mood as she continued to talk about well the more or less depressing subject of possibly cannibal shifters. She didn’t even notice that he had smile since she was so used to him being serious all the time except on a few occasions when he was more or less open. She only stopped talking and walking when he mentioned that they were there, she looked at the building, with a big smile on her face as she nodded her head, looking in awe as slowly walked in and looked around.
“This place is amazing, Aikedo. Thank you so very much for bringing me here.” she said excitedly as she hugged the Dean, kissing his cheek as she got swept up in her emotions, when she realized what she had done, she blushed furiously and quickly let him go and hid her face from him as she slowly made her way towards a table.
