I'm one of those stingy people who doesn't like to buy stuff unless I'm absolutely sure I love it.
Unless it's Christmas money. Because Christmas money somehow always gets equated to Monopoly money in my mind.

I do read them there, I admit. But if I really liked it and I've got the money (I've sometimes gone there with no cash at all ), I'll usually buy it.
My dad is always baffled by my bookstore browsing habits.

my sister and I would sit down back to back and just read books. my mom or dad would go looking for us and see us halfway through a book and just get annoyed. They say we should buy it then read it. We say why buy when we are only going to read it once? if the library had it we would read it there XD

Books are usually the bulk of my "splurge" expense (definitely not this year--I got a laptop and tablet!), and I buy maybe five a year...I don't go to the bookstore that often, and even when I do, I'm often picky.

I try to buy about 10 books a year. this year it hasn't even gotten close to that. >.< been too busy to do just about anything even read reviews of books that I may be interested in. The last book in the sword of truth series came out yesterday. I really want it but don't have the money for it. And sadly I don't know where any book stores are around here. >.< [/saddness]

- There are bookstores you can read at?
...
That would be my second home.
I buy all the books I want to read-- even though books are expensive nowadays. Though I admit I look for books online when it's not translated into Lithuanian >___>
I also buy DVDs. We have a huge stack of those, and they're all mine, all mine ahahahaaaa*coughhack*.
Mostly your typical horror movies or intellectual 'hard' movies. D:
Weird mixture.
Reading a book or watching a movie just once is never enough for me. I read/watch them compulsively again after a few years.
Like with the movie Prestige. Nobody knows what's going on in the end- and I'm already in tears because I know what'll happen.

I actually got the prestige. I had to explain it to other people. They were all confused going wtf?
I watch movies over and over. But books if I read them again I end up skipping around to parts I like instead of reading them all the way though XD

- I needed some clarification at first.. Like, "Omg what is he reading? Where is he going? Is this a real trip? Is this the same man? Omg?" ...No spoilers, just explanations of where in the time and space continuum I was
I think everyone catches up during the movie, but I meant the last twist. Because I don't think many figured it out. At least not the ones I've watched it with :D
But I mean, reading a book after a few years-- or once you've forgotten how it goes. Of course, with my goldfish 5-seconds memory span, it's easy to reread books 8) I do catch myself going "Oh, no, there's still that part of the movie ahead! D< " when watching DVDs.

XD I do that too. </3
I don't really remember the movie too well. Only watched it once and I was the only one that got it. >.< I forget. I have a bad memory with movies unless I know something creepy is about to happen. lol.
Most of my friends didn't catch up so I had to go back and explain some of the stuff to them XD

Hiya Cami!
I looooove books. <333 Ever since I was small if I could get my hands on a book I'd read it. I've had absolutely no time for reading. I'm behind on harry potter, manga, and books in general. ;~; I had a humongous horde of books that my mom went and threw a chunk out years ago. </3 Her reasoning was that I read them already. :? What happened to going back and reading it again. I want to have a mini library in my future house someday.

I can't read horror books, or even thrillers sometimes. XD I get nightmares. Just seeing previews for Hannible gave me nightmares. I have an over active imagination and so everything...is just creepy XD I think it was tick tock that I read by Koontz and it creeped my out pretty bad. I thought the nick name tofu boy was funny, but other then that I only read it cuz Scott wanted me to and we were dating at the time XD The things I did for that boy >.<

I have an overactive imagination when it comes to scary stuff, too. I like a good plot, like mystery or suspense. Flat out gore and horror I can't deal with. My best friend dragged me to see the latest Resident Evil. I jumped so many times and was constantly peering about in the dark. o.o' Koontz and King that I have read had really good plots, so I didn't mind too much. I like Mr. Murder from Koontz.

movies I have to keep telling myself that it isnt real XD and I still don't believe myself. Specially if it was based off of something that actually happened. *cough the exorcism of emily rose* never saw it but the commercials were more then enough to frighten me. and books to me are recorded documentation. XD So I have to keep telling myself those aren't real too! but my brain doesn't always listen to itself. Specially when I am sleeping and so...I just swore them off completely.
