Straightening up, Sel continued toward the lake. Still at a careful pace. Almost at the lake to get a better view, he stopped and stared for a moment. He thought he saw the being in it. He put a hand on his chin for a moment before walking at a brisker pace towards the lake.

Faolan pushed herself away from the edge and into the deeper area, noticing he spotted her. She watched, waiting for him to notice her again. She wanted to talk to this human. She wanted to understand them a little.

Getting to the lakes edge, Sel scanned the water. He then knelled down and watched the water. The rippling was defiantly being caused by something, its just that he was a little nervous so he wasn't focusing correctly. "Wonder whats in this lake..." he said to himself before putting a hand in the water.

Faolan watched as his eyes examined the lake. She smiled as he placed his hand in the water. She hoped he'd feel the same way she did about this beautiful lake. Feel it's warmth and comfort. This lake was the place she would go when she was upset. She unconciously rose a little further above the water, her top of her shoulders now showing.

Sel jumped a little when he finally noticed the being in the water. Usually someone would probably run at a sight like this, but Sel had a look of curiosity. He went over what to do with the situation, and then came up with the best reaction without running. "Hello!" he said trying to stay calm in the situation.

Faolan remained quiet for a few moments, too scared to respond. Should I escape? Should I go back to the tunnel? But, like you said, this is your only chance... She shook her head, her hair falling into her face and said quietly, "H-hello..." She smiled faintly and watched the human male.

"Hmm... I'm Sel. It's nice to meet you?" he asked, introducing himself. The being seemed to be friendly enough. He sat down and stayed there, ready to jump in and chase if he needed to. He wasn't gonna let a chance like this pass him by, even if he was so nervous he could faint.

Faolan swam a little closer to him, slowly, not to scare him, but to the shallow area where he could see her tail. "My name is Faolan." She stared at him, hear head slightly tilted and eyes wider than usual, wondering if he would run with the sight of her tail. She tensed and prepared to swim away if she needed to.

"Nice to meet you Faolan--" he started before leaning to get a better look at the tail. The scales looked familiar in shine. He saw some before in the previous town, just a different color. The previous scales were bought by the town's mayor. "Yes, nice to meet you." he said sitting back down in the previous position.

Honestly, Faolan was surprised. She'd expected him to jump in and try to capture her. When he didn't, she was silently thankful and relieved. She relaxed and sat down, to the best she could, and talked with Sel. "It's nice to meet you, too." She smiled and held out a hand. A gesture she had seen humans do when she was flying high over the town.

Finx sent her gaurds to the place she knew the human would be to envite him to her castle. Her main objective was to see why he was there if he had one at all and kill him if he planned to hurt them. The gaurds found him easily just like there queen had said they would. "You human step away from her now!"

Sel, about to shake the Faolan's hand jumped a bit and backed up when someone told him too. He was about to tell off the guards, thinking they were the guys from earlier but stopped himself before he said anything noticing that they weren't. "Alright, no need to get violent." he said looking the guards over.

As Jack moved towards the pool of water he heard voices ahead thanks to his sensetive hearing. He paused, closing his eyes and focusing. THere was a shuffle. He reached out with all his senses and scanned the different beings. There was a mermaid, some guards and...

a human. What in teh name of the elements was a human doing in this forest? It was forbidden for outlanders to enter without permission and if there were guards here then that certainly pointed to no permission being given. He felt an emotion boil within his chest but he pushed it away for the moment. He glanced at a nearby tree and quickly leapt towards the nearest branch, hauling himself up. Satisfied that he wasw secure on the branch he glanced around before leaping to the nearest branch. He figured this would be a much subtler way of observing the situation.

He made his way rather quickly to the pool and stared down at the human, mermaid and guards. He leaned against the tree, still standing on the branch and prepared to watch waht was going on with a keen sapphire blue eye. Things looked like they were about to get rather interesting. He wouldn't itnerfere without it being necessary though. So far the human didn't appear to be a threat. Then again looks could be deceiving but it wasn't unheard of for a guard to get a little too hyped up when protecting the forest. He'd just need to wait, watch and see what happened.

Faolan wished now that someone knew her secret. She didn't see the human as a threat and had the urge to protect him. The feeling was new to her and it confused her slightly. She shook her head, staying near Sel if a problem should arise, she would protect him.

Jack frowned slightly as he watched the mermaid edge closer to the human. That was definitley strange behaviour. Why would she be atempting to shield the human? If her behaviour so far was any indication she didn't view him as a threat. If she did she would be long gone by now and the kid would probably have his head on a spike somewhere. He frowned, wondering what he should do. He sighed, he could never really resist a damsel in distress (or a guy if he was honest) so he released his wumgs and clided into the clearing. He managed to land so that he put himself between the guards and the human and hermaid pair.

"What seems to be the issue here?" he asked in a conversational tone, his voice light and casual. He folded his wings behind his back but didn't pull them into his body just yet. He had a feeling he'd have need of them. His long black-dark blue coat settled around his ankles for a moment before fluttering slightly as a breeze passed them by, giving him a rather dramatic image combined with his obsidian wings and hair and sapphire blue eyes.

Faolan eyed the fairy watching his eyes for any sign of harm against Sel. When she saw none, she relaxed slightly. She glanced at Sel, also curious as to why he was here. She watched his eyes, wondering how a human would react in the presence of so many magical creatures.

The guards stared at the new comer. "The queen wishes to see are human intruder at once we come to bring him to her." The we're gripping the hilt of the swords glaring at the new comer to oppose them. "Come. We don't wish for the queen to be waiting."

((What scene? o.o Last I had it was my girl was randomly walking through the woods.))

(( All characters got their introduction to the world, Sel [the human] got into the forest after a chase and eventually met Faolan [the mermaid/fairy] and awkwardly talked to her for a few minutes before Finx [The Queen] sent her guards after Sel. During this, Jak came into the picture to see what all the commotion was about. We now join the characters as Sel is to be brought to Finx, while Faolan attempts to protect Sel and Jak attempts to protect Faolan if anything go bad.... jeez that was a lot o3o; ))

Taking a step forward, Sel nodded to the guards. "N-No need to be on edge, I'll be good." he said holding up his hands nervously. The weapons looked real enough so he didn't want to be stabbed or killed with how on edge this guards were.

((Hmm.. so I should just walk up?))

"Oh there real." Kya said slipping threw the trees towards them her wings hanging lightly in the air. "Princess kya" The gaurds bowed to her. "Yes yes i know who i am." She waved her hand in a dismissive way. "So mother wants to see you huh
? Well lets go i'll lead the way." "But princess." The gaurds protested. "No but vuts or coconuts. Come boy the rest of you may come as well."

Faolan stared at Sel, knowing she couldn't leave the water without her secret being found out. She gave a panicked look to Sel, wondering what to do. "Sel..." She whispered showing both her discomfort and sadness. Should I let them find out? She questioned herself.
