people could walk the streets naked without any problem. I'm not trying to be perverted, because if that was the way society worked, we wouldn't know any better so other wouldn't be weird and honestly sexuality would probably be a whole lot different. Would you enjoy a more naked society,? Lets not get perverted here people I'm being serious. Discuss.

I think it would be weird. Plus, that totally ruins the point of the fashion world. What's the point in making beautiful clothing if people walked naked? And where I live, we have really cold winters. So for most of the year people would have to wear some sort of clothing to keep ourselves from getting sick. But it would be nice to get no weird tan lines in the summer!

@WinglessFairy. I was going to say that too. I'd really rather not see certain things. I'm still a pretty innocent teenager!

Plus, for women that means way more shaving. No wearing jeans to cover up stubble/hair when you didn't have time to shave or something.

I understand that it would a completely different world for this to happen. So many things would have to be different.

Well most people could walk around without clothes to begin with in hot climates but I guess it gives people more imagination. I can understand that some people would like to live without clothes because it makes you feel like you don't have anything to hide. Sometimes I feel when I wear clothing I have something to hide from everyone. Maybe that's shame or humility that we all have to consider when taking an approach to being naked in public. I mean it's true there are some things I don't want to see but then again there is a reason why there are specific places that you can have that freedom. People have different morals of what they want to expose themselves to and to children.

I think it would be great if everyone was comfortable enough to walk around naked, but clothes were made for a reason. We have clothes to protect us from the elements. People in Alaska couldn't just walk around naked all the time. I guess it would be fine in hotter climates, which is why there are nude beaches. But public nudity is restricted to places like nude beaches because of this twisted perception that nudity is a sin.

I wouldn't mind but at the same time I would feel vulnerable/scary. Would you sit on a chair that some other sat all naked?

I'm pretty sure they would have someone to clean the chairs for the sake of keeping everything away from something that could be spreadable.

koshkatamara: If people walked around naked and everyone was fine with it because they thought of the body differently, don't you think they would think of shaving differently too? I mean, look at all the old paintings of people hundreds of years ago, they are naked, comfortable looking and hairy, and no one seems to know any different or be bothered by it.

BRR, But it's the shame that stop us to be naked. Or our religion stops us I think.
I'm a Muslim. But I wear skinny jeans/pants/dresses/t-shirts. But other people never weared t-shirts. So...

I'm not talking about why we don't walk around naked. Forget about that. Just think about what it would be like thinking about it as a person who wears cloths: What would it be like if we didn't?

Sounds boring. Clothes let you express yourself and provide endless possibilities for customization.

Also, what would Lady Gaga do then? Wear plain t-shirts to stand out? :P

I think the freedom would be nice.

It would be kind of weird not having to ever wonder what someone looks like naked, as we'd just have to walk past someone and... we'd know o_o
I think if public nudity became the norm, then there'd be a huge change in the way attraction works. We'd get desensitized to nudity, so it wouldn't be mysterious and taboo anymore. It would just be as normal as having hair.
I'm really not sure if that would be a good thing or a bad thing.

Winter wouldn't be pleasant, but in the warm months, I'd probably enjoy not wearing clothing. Although then skin cancer risks would go up, as we'd have less protection from sun...

Vix no cloths at all.
Good points everyone. But maybe for the cold months we would find a solution. Maybe we could have Tunnels everywhere and no be outside? Maybe skin protection would be stronger? Maybe there would be an expression replacement for clothing? Maybe tattoos would be appreciated more?

I think it would definitely be an odd world. Hmm. Well, I mean in countries where it's really hot or they're low on resources, they already walk around halfway naked most of the time. But I see where you're going with this. Modern day cities are definitely a long way from jungle tribes, culturally.

I don't know how it would affect self esteem, but I suppose there would be a lot less censorship in the media if everyone was naked all the time anyway. Why bother blurring out stuff you can see any day of the week?

We'd probably probably be more animal-like than we are now. I know technically humans are animals but there seems to be a major difference between humans and all other animals, one of these things is that we choose to wear clothes. I know some people dress their pets but that's not the pet animals' choice.

Plus I agree, just like I wouldn't want to see certain body parts of other people I wouldn't want them to see all of me exposed.

Hmm, well people would adapt because that's
just what humans do.

I think we'd be more prone to
dangerous things like oh gosh, bacteria just
harmful bacteria from dirty people when you
sit down in public areas. I know there's bacteria
everywhere but I'm paranoid enough.
There's also many factors to take in place like
pedos and stuff.

That aside I think nudity is a
beautiful form of art. I just don't
know how society as a whole would
react to it...

I would think this used to actually be the case a long time ago, during prehistoric times. Back then there probably wasn't any shame to it, and even now there are still communities that do not clothe themselves in public. I think it's just a matter of what society considers the norm. Though I do agree that there are health risks to this.
