Its a beautiful day at the beginning of our story. There are mermaids, sirens, and other sea creatures that inhabit it. The mermaids lost a war along time ago against the Octilia, human topped octopus creatures, and now are used by them to lure humans out of their boats and into the depths of the sea. Its not that they dont like luring humans to their deaths by drowning or being killed by the octiiia, Its that the humans are so much more innocent than the Octilia. Yes, they want to do terrible things to mermaids, or at least thats what the Octilia made them believe, but the mermaids can see the innocence of the ones that arent like that. Trapped by beauty in their features, humans just come seeking the mermaids.

If you are a human, you are male in this game because that is the type of human these mermaids are going after. Besides, there is a suspicion on the water that its bad luck to bring a woman aboard the ship. So many days out to see causes trouble for men to keep their hands off. I will let someone be a woman IF they give me a really good solid reason to be.
Mermaids
Mermaids are beautiful half human half fish creatures. There are men and women in this group. Their role in this is that they serve those that are Octilia. There was a giant war between these creatures and the Octilia before hand but they lost due to the massive force of these relentless creatures. The mermen serve as part of their army now, the woman serve their bidding in other ways such as luring the humans to their deaths and being the mades that is within their name. That isnt to say that the men and woman dont do other jobs, these are just their main ones. Mermaids have magic that goes into healing and breathing underwater if they bring a creature under that doesnt have that ability already. They also have the ability to change their fins to legs if they are forced onto land so that they arent completely helpless.
Octilia
These creatures have Humanoid tops and octopus bottoms. Their tentical legs help make it hard to beat them in a fight since they can use all of them to their advantage which is how they won the war between them and the mermaids, enslaving the mermaids in the process. They use to be ruthless during the war and still have that sort of demeanor, but they have slightly softened up. Their apetites for humans is large. Its a delicacy that is favored among these creatures. Mermaids are as well which is why they always use a threat to those that threaten their control with being eaten. This is why the Mermaids/men all work for the Octilia, in exchange for their life. Note: For profiles, just show the upper half of the Octilia that you are to represent what your Octilia looks like

History:Cora was there at the beginning. It was a beautiful day under the sea when the army came to the city. Her family lived on the outskirts which was why they were one of the last places hit by the incursion. She was playing with her brothers a game they always had fun playing, catch me if you can. It just so happened that she ran into one of the Octilia soldiers while swimming away from her brothers. They hid behind some of the coral to see why he was there. When he turned around and grabbed her, thats when they fought him off. They killed this one Octilia, but his brother saw the commotion and came after them all with his weapons in both human hands and octopus legs. She fought along side her brothers to protect their lands and saw all of her brothers get killed by this one of the Octilia. Just one of them was enough to defeat her and her family after putting him in such rage for defeating his brother. She was only beaten a little and kept alive to suffer enslaved. Now she works for him along with her mother. Being very young, she was put to work, trying to get humans to follow her down into the sea for him to eat, while her mother takes care of his everyday needs.
Extra: This Octilia marked her as his with a tattoo on her upper right arm.

Note: I am not a stickler for rules, so these are the general ones.
1. FOLLOW ALL MENE RULES
2. I dont mind people having a relationship in this rp. I encourage it to tell the truth, just make sure you keep everything PG-13. Not my rule, Mene's rule :sweat:
3. Try to post once a day if you can, if you cant then every other day would be great. More than two days between kinda makes it so that people cant post that often, and then the story in their heads kinda runs down the drain, So dont leave us hanging though, if something happens, PM me and ill put it into the news feed on the first page. Or my next post so that people will know.
4. Write at least a paragraph, 5 sentences at least. Now sentences are at least 6 words long due to details, but I will allow 2-3 worded sentences IF THEY ARE DESCRIPTIVE.... Im not trying to be a stickler, but for those of you that always get a reply of "he smiled." as a sentence, I feel your pain. Its hard to reply to something like that. So One paragraph, long sentences.
5. Im not gunna say to be semi-literate to literate only because i know how it feels to misspell words alot as well. So im going to say, try to spell words correctly if you can, but if you cant, then try to spell it so that we know what your trying to say. ;)
6.NO GODMODDING, NO CONTROLLING OTHER PEOPLE'S CHARACTERS, AND ABSOLUTELY NO INDESTRUCTIBLE CHARACTERS. You cant get away from everything, you cant heal almost immediately, you cant never get hurt. When someone makes your character do something in an rp, then what is the point of having a character period. Just because you think its going to happen, doesnt mean that is actually what the person wants to do. Be respectful about that.
7. PM me all profiles so that i can put them up on the first page for all to see. DONT POST THEM... Things get crazy when you post them.... Sorry guys :sweat:
